i think that the title of the game pretty much tells me everything. its "the LEGEND of zelda". sometime legends are told diferent through time, but still is a legend, like a myth or something. so thats why its so confusing, its suppose to be that way

My theory is that in the fictional universe of Hyrule, most of the legends don't actually exist. They are merely tales made up to entertain children with tales of courage, power, and wisdom. In my theory some of Link's adventures HAVE happened, but most were inspired by the real (fictionally real) tales.

Actually said to be 100 years in the future after majora's mask. I read that in a nintendo power issue shortly before WW's release. I could be wrong given its been years since i saw it, but I could SWEAR that was how it was. Where that fits in the timeline though i'm at a loss...

Well, i'll say a few words about my own concept but it might be a little confusing because i'm actually after few beers xD.
IMO the first in storyline is the OoT, because it actually looks like start to everything, Ganondorf the great thieves king is only a fking wicked guy who found out that Triforce will give him everything he likes. You know, money, boobies or... cocks, hell i don't know what he likes after all xD. But whatever. He decided to get the fking triangles because he liked math a lot... maybe xD. Then after the whole fking temples you've made, he loses... after fking 7 years he tried to take over Hyrule some freaking Elf in green hat comes up and gives him beat ups... God dammit! He thinks "NO! i've got some like power up in my ass! I'm gonna show you what im made of!" (i mean the POWER triforce part of course). And then he uses his mega ultimate power to transform into something, something with ultimate power... it's come to a mythical, legendary beast which is a object of some slavonic religion or belief. The big Pig-like monster named Ganon. AFTER this fact there exists something like GANON in the whole Hyrule stories. This is the begining of Ganon existance. Then (if i don't count Majora's mask) After 100 years ganon returns as the demon (Ganon hell yeah! xD) and he kick's ppl's asses and gives them beat ups so they start to pray to gods. The gods probably have some better things to do like watching hentai on the internet or something, so they decided to fu*k the whole stuff and just made a GREAT STORM that was raining until the whole Hyrule with the Ganon it's self drown there. I don't know how the ppl did survive... hmmm maybe Noe was the one who saved them :D? Running around and carrying ppl above his head on his strong arms ^^.
Whatever. After the Wind Waker there is something like - Zelda and Link start a new journey to find new world. I think they found one and guess what?! They named it Hyrule! Yahoo, let's dance peanut butter jelly time! "Egal". The time is passing pretty fast, yeah we've got another 100 years passed. And now, im confused, because... i could set on place here the Awakening of Link, or Twilight Princess, because actually i think, TP is on the total END of everything, why? Because in TP Sages and all the s*it doesn't try to seal ganon(dorf) away, NO! Link has finally killed him once and for all. He totally kicked his ass this time AAAAND, as we can see in final cutscene, the force of POWER of trifoce leaves the ganondorf and lets him die for good... GOOOOOOOD xD.
Yeah, that's my story, however... im after a few beers as I told ya earlier, so you don't have to believe it xD. Good night xD

link must be just like master chief in the sence that he is only awakened or reborn when he is needed.
or, it's all the same exact story being told by people of diffrent cultures and things are changed to make it seem like link and zelda were from the culture that is telling them. (IE: a story is told by a man in italy, but picked up by a man from germany.then the man gets back to germany he tell the story to people, but changes it to make them believe that it came from germany itself, when it originaly came from italy.)
The Master Sword thingy? I personally have not compleated not a single Zelda game. But as far as I know, in every single game you find the Master Sword. Now wtf, why do you have to find the Master Sword every friggin time again? Oh, you mean that Link doesn't need it anymore after he beats the shit out of the final boss.
Anyway... Thx for clearing this mess (atleast for me). Now I know that I don't have to give a shit about the order of the games.

Final Fantasy confused the hell outta me. I mean with something with the word "Final" in the title, you'd figure it wouldn't have so many sequels. I'm surprised he didn't mention the Star Wars movies.

Talking about Zelda, i don't think we have to think about trying to follow the storyline. You just have to take each Link character as one and unique one.
For Final Fantasy, the fact that the numbers were different was simply, and that's my own opinion, a lack of time for the translation and you know, without translation, how would you release a game in a country that talks a different language than you?
Ok, for Aliens and Rambo and zombi and whatever other movies he talks about, i have no clue.

I tried to watch like half of it and thought it would change, but nope! Fortanately for me though the chronically confused one is my favorite episodes. I'll try to bring a link from game trailers.

Seriously, as AVGN pointed out there is no way to make the games work in a continuous chain. Pretty much on every generation of platforms, you see a different continuity, or "universe." A lot of the games do pair up very effectively and deliberately, like Zeldas 1 and 2, Link to the Past and Link's Awakening, Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass, etc. However, when you try to coherently link those series together, the only way to make it work is to believe that there is a quantum singularity between each set of games. I mean c'mon! It makes no sense! People should just accept that there is no real glue to bind the series together with. Each game is a legend, and and real legends often borrow characters from each other even if they aren't connected by continuity. Just play the darned games and be happy!
BTW, the video above links to the wrong episode. Use mcdude910's link instead.
Good vid man
Ya i always was confused about the Zelda games. And I guess we got to think of them as their own adventures.

James Rolfe is a great internet producer.
I hope he can make a film someday that hits the theaters.
Heres for hoping!

Where the fuck is anything to do with Zelda? I haven't seen a Zelda vid from AVGN as of yet.
