Hahah, me and my brothers had a Super Nintendo, and we always made fun of Sega Genesis for having worse graphics and terrible sound. Nowadays I love them both, but there's no doubt in my mind that getting a SNES over a Genesis was a smart move. It is pretty cool just how much they could squeeze out of the Genesis even though it was 3 years older than the SNES, but few games on it can compare to the kind of audio that the SNES could put out, or the incredibly colorful graphics.
The last line cracked me up.

Virtua Racing isn't just a true 3D Genesis game it's much more impressive than any polygonal game on the SNES and that's coming from one of the biggest fans of the original Star Fox around, me. However, my favorite polygonal Genesis game is actually on the Sega CD. Silpheed had polygonal objects over prerendered animation. It works really well, great underrated shooter.

I hate that too, but not the fanboys themselves... I am a Nintendo fanboy myself... But the matter is that most of the times people lack the proper respect for their fellow gamers... I guess that these people you speak of would say the exact same thing of the games they like even if they weren't fanboys.
I myself, being a Nintendo fanboy as I already mentioned, have had lots of conversations about non-Nintendo games with some people numerous times, and I never had any problem with them, nor did they have with me.
I understand your point, but I'd just like to point out that, first, not all fanboys are like this, and second, not only fanboys are like this. Respecting each other's choices and tastes is the key. Cheers.

Yes it did have worse graphics.
The Graphics weren't horrible they were just not quite as good as SNES. Name a true 3D game on the genisis.
