Originally debuting at the Iron-Man of Gaming this past year, Webs of Destruction dazzled those who got their hands on it for a number of reasons... most notably its difficulty. Gamma Prime has made a true game for gamers and the best part about it is that it's 100% totally free for both Mac and PC. Oh, and did I mention up to 4 players can play at the same time? So what's your high score?

More information?
Is this a multiplayer only game, or can it be played single player as well? I haven't heard of it before, but I'm willing to give it a try, though it'd be nice to know a little bit more about it other than it's hard.
Is there some place to find more information on this?
Has anyone else downloaded it yet? Judging by the fact that this is the first comment, maybe I should just wait and make sure my PC can even run it. It's getting kind of old. :)
Edit: Alright, I went and got it anyway. The PC download is only 27.3 MB, so not as big as I thought it might be. For playing a whole entire *minute* so far, it seems to be a standard shooter. Arrow keys to move, and Ctrl to fire. I haven't found any help files or other keys, but...
Oh wait, there's a readme file in the installation directory. Aha, that gives controls and other keys like how to exit the game. So once you install it, go look at the readme.txt for instructions.
I assume there'll be powerups later (I didn't see any in the short time I played), but it looks like fun. It would probably be a pain to do, but all I want for the next version is online multiplayer support. :)
Did they update this game at
Did they update this game at all since it's initial release? I played it when it first came out and it was sub par at best.
Update? That was a demo, not
Update?
That was a demo, not the whole game.
Okay, so I take it they
Okay, so I take it they didn't update it. I don't care if this release has more levels, if it plays the same then whats the point?
Thanks!
Checking it out.
Well..
So far i have only reached level 2, and the it's all exactly the same as before. I ques there's just more levels in total now.

Powering Up, Possible Mac Issues, and other terms...
To power up your weapon, you don't collect items. You use the whip on certain enemies. Some it won't do anything with, but some will spin when you whip them. Whip them again while the bad guy is spinning, and you will power up. You can do this twice. The whip is used with the alt key, or button 2 on the gamepad/controller. You only power up in overhead stages. If you go into a 3D stage powered up and don't die through the stage, you will retain your firepower in the next overhead level.
Quitting is the same as in Hyperfire. You use the Q or X key.
The Mac version is for OS X 10.5, and works only on Intel Macs.
During debugging, we had a code to grant oneself 30 lives. It's still there. What could it be?....(Not the Konami Code)
To play a multiplayer game, you will need more than 1 computer controller/gamepad.
Level 2's boss has a safe spot.
Mac users, I apologize for not putting the readme in the zip package. Here is the file - Read Me
Alright, I think that should do it. Have fun guys!
Meh...
This game is not bad, but there are some issues:
First of all, the controls, they dont really work, sometimes the ship doesnt move or keep moving after i stopped pressing in the direction.
Difficulty, the game is not easy, but its more like that is has simply some unfair aspect, e.g. enemys coming from behind, controls,...
More Controllers = more Players can play? I have played many games, made from private ppl, but thats the first time i heard of that. Wheres the problem with a little function that allows to set the keys for each player, so that one or two can play on the keyboard?
But this game is not entirely bad, i came til lvl3 and was surprised from lvl2, a nice effect. The music is also decent and the design of the enemys too.
What made me now to write this comment? Very simple, this overhyped introduction... "Full game for FREE!" or "dazzled those who got their hands on", plenty of games out there, which are free, have better Gamedesign, Controls, Gameplay, simply better games overall.
Yay free!
G1 points AND A FREE GAME?! Quite the day so far.

First impression
I found it rather hard for the wrong reasons. The ship's hit box is rather big aswell as enemies moving and firing far faster than you. I suppose I'm just used to bullet hell shooters.
If you're just aiming to beat it for starters try positioning yourself in the middle and bottom of the first level. You should only need to dodge 2 attacks (one from the first bouncing enemy projectile and the spider claw thing before the first boss) then at the boss just stand to the far right and bottom of the screen and hold fire until it's dead.
Second level seems pardoning enough for you to stay at the far right and always shoot but you'll need to dodge some projectiles a bit after halfway through.
That's it, I'm contacting
That's it, I'm contacting these guys to do sprites for me.

Instructions
Could you possibly tell us what buttons do what when you first play searching for the "fire" button is annoying
Control Config?
Any way to change the controls up a little?
Pretty cool game.
The graphics are decent enough to play, the music is awesome (I only got to the second level so far)
It's challenging, but in the way that you wanna conquer the game, not that it pisses you off cause you can't beat it.
The controls are.. meh, they could be improved.. I found it most enjoyable to just keep firing with my joystick while controlling with my arrow keys.
It's a nice little overhead shooter with some fun extra's, good job.
Fun, but a little confusing.
So I've played a couple of rounds and it's a pretty good game. Nice concept of a shoot-em-up and it is quite fun.
The only blemish to the game though is that it doesn't have customizable keys. If that was possible then that would have been pretty good because I'm not too used to the the control and alt keys being attacks.
Music and sprites are very nice and it is a cool looking game. Reminds me of those simple arcade games I used to love and play.
All in all its a good game, but it could use some improvement though.
Woo, sweet game! and it
Woo, sweet game! and it works on my mac! Nice find, screwattack! :)

Doesn't look too hard
I guess I'm used to bullet hell shooters, especially the insane ones made by Cave, so this one doesn't look too hard
It gets hard for the wrong
It gets hard for the wrong reason. Cave shooters are godlike compared to this imo.
Glad to see this finally released...
It was a lot of work to conceptualize the game's characters and sprite them all by myself...
....hope all you g1s enjoy the fruit of our labor...
