*SPOILERS*
- You'll have a ton of new weapons to choose from including an axe, a hammer, a mace, a spear, 2 different sword types, a spear axe, and 2 smaller blades

- Locations include Saint Marks Basilica, The Grand Canal, The Little Canal, and the Rialto bridge.
- The game opens in 1476, Altair is from 1191
- So you do indeed play as a new ancestor of Altair / Desmond
-You will see the countryside of Tuscany
- The "Auditore" family is mentioned
- The main characters name is Ezio Auditore de Firenze
- He is a nobleman of Florence
- Big characters are in the game including Machiavelli, Caterina Sofrza, and Lorenzo de Medici
- YOU DO INDEED GLIDE on Da Vincis flying machine.
- Game will feature a new notoriety system that governs how enemy soldiers and people will treat you.
- You can disarm enemies and use their own weapons against them this time.
- Each weapon has a special move.
- 16 unique mission types.
- No more ease dropping or pick pocketing missions.
- If you get beat up to much you will need to see a street side doctor to regain full strength.
- Hidden objects (like flags in the first one) are there to uncover but this time if you track them down you will get in-game bonuses that make it worth your time.
- Items include, flags, statues, and gold coins and more that isnt mentioned.
- New enemy types with unique attitudes and weaknesses are present in the game. Archers are mentioned, as well as elite enemies, dagger wielders, "Brutish" armored troops with heavy armor and 2 handed swords and axes, and an intelligent halberd enemy will probe hiding places with their weapons if they think you're near by.
- While hiding in a hay bail you can assassinate people this time, but it may expose your position.
- You can still climb towers and ride horses
- The Lorendo de Medici assassination attempt is in the game.
- There is now a night and day sequence in the game.

NCsoft's most popular MMO is Lineage, not City of Heroes. If you count it as an MMO, Guild Wars would also be more popular.
I got bored of City of Heroes once you get the travel powers. After that, it felt like there was nothing else to look forward too. The idea of player creatable content has me intrigued, though.

I hope all that confidence from Eidos is not in vain. I really wanted to see that game kick ass. Though I can't help but feel a little skeptical. You know, when was the last time Eidos released a game that good? Anyway, let´s hope for the best.
And thanks a lot for that info about AC2, Destin. Haven't seen it anywhere else so far. That's how you do a preview. Can't wait for gameplay footage.

Considering Eidos already
Considering Eidos already made a perfect game with Hitman: Blood Money, and have spent the past 3 years showing that they have no intention of ever doing it again, I really doubt their grasp on quality.

It seems to me that it is a cool wish list more than a real list. It would be awesome to have all that but we won´t. Although I really think that AC2 is going to be way better than the first one. The first one seemed like they had a lot of great ideas but finally it was very repetitive, very linear and wasn't much of a challenge.

Excuse me, but no. That is not a filtration. That list was made from a little leak a while ago, the info given by Ubisoft and the trailers and then, i assume, the fans added more ingredients in some forums or something with:
1 Known concepts that dind't make it to the final game (AC 1)
- There is now a night and day sequence in the game.

2 The deductions made by watching the trailer and making deductions about Leonardo da vinci and the people who he knew, and knowing a little bit about history and conspirations in history. And of course people reading that cheap book "the davinci code"

I don't say that you intentions are bad, but this list that you found is not a list made by someone who has actually seen something of the game, apart from what we all have seen. We can get more information only by wathching gametrailers pop-up Ac2 trailer or watching the all time leonardo da vinci related movie masterpiece "Hudson Hawk"
Of course some of it will make the game but that doesn't make it more true. No offense.

I didn't say that the list is an absolute bullshit but that MOST of the list has a lot to do with deduction and wishes into it. I indeed think that also MOST of it is going to be in the game.
I didn't say anything about weapons and names because maybe there is something that some smart, no sarcasm, people found out in that webcam thing in assassincreeds.com and Ubisoft has started doing that kind of marketing where they put many false websites and it is kind of challenge for gamers, so maybe there is more hidden information over there.
It seemed to me strange that you put what really seems like a rumour thread in a forum where everyone is adding stuff as spoiler and not as rumour (because something being a rumour doesn't mean that it is not true).
I know that for a fucking smart ass i am too persistent, but i'll properly apologize if i am not rigth about the thing that you can put that list on the back cover of AC2.
(PS. I think i don't need to say that i like Hard News as hell because that is obvious)

Nice work Destin on getting all the AC2 news. I really wanted to like the first one and could see some of the good things they did with the game. I just hope AC2 fixes all problems from the first a deliver what I wanted the first time around. Also I want to see more of Jade. :)
City of Heroes Issue 14
Being a longtime player of City of Heroes, I have to say that NCSoft did a really good job with the Mission Architect.
Being able to create your own villain group, bosses, story arcs, etc. is incredibly fun. Most importantly, the interface for the Mission Architect is incredibly simple.
Axe-spear, hehe.
I do believe that's a Halberd good sir, if not that particular weapon, it's definitely a Pole-arm of some sort. x3
