That Hump Day video is so wrong and yet so funny at the same time. That Novint Falcon Controller is cool. First I was eh until I heard the name of the greatest FPS game EVER. Half Life 2.

it's not only for fps, they plan on integrating other types of games into it like racing etc etc.
they have removable grips, i have the pistol on
i paid $110, and it was a pretty good investment, hopefully they keep up wth the game updates
and three... HELL no. you don't use this to improve your.. lets say... skill... you use this to improve your experience overall.. it's difficult to use at first, and i still haven't calibrated it to my liking. it can be frustrating at first, and if your not holding it correctly, it will give you a painful wrist. but the games ive been playing are fast paced, and can be harder to use with the novint.. easy IS hard with the novint

id with Zenimax seems good considering id get to keep their ideas! god knows what a Doom/Fallout 3/Oblivion would turn out like!

The ball peripheral seems like a good idea but considering the technology of today i cant help thinking that maybe software companies should consider re-inventing virtual reality! When it was first created VR was too ahead of its time, but now it seems like a good idea to bring it back & revolutionise gaming, instead of a shitty interactive kid you can talk to and just want to tell him to fuck off after 5 minutes!

Every time I go to Micro Center I screw around with it and shoot a bunch of monkeys! Pretty awesome but it makes your hand tired after a few minutes, but the whole kickback and reloading thing is so cool!

Looks like it would be horribly awkward to use with a fps.
If you watch the guy in the video, he's moving the gun left, right, up and down to move the crosshairs.
Ideally, you'd want the movement to be pivoting at the WRIST (As opposed to this, where you're really pivoting at the elbow) so it feels like you're POINTING THE GUN at things you're shooting at. You should be tilting the gun's barrel upward to aim up, not lifting the gun up into the air.
It's a neat idea but poorly thought out for first person shooters, imo. In fact you'd probably be better off just using the ball to play fps (If it has buttons on it) because you hold the ball with your fingertips and therefore have more control, as opposed to wrapping your whole hand around the thing.
Unless, of course, you're "groping" something with it. Motion feedback isn't going to change the fact that you've got a handful of plastic, though.
Does it come with a slap-the-user-across-the-face attachment?
That 3d-Ball-Gun controller sounds amazing only that its probably gonna stur up those idiotic anti gameing communities. i can even now hear them saying "See, now u can train to kill people even with a real gun. Thats what we always warned you about..."
I live in Germany where cencorship in videogames and Game periphirals are/is very common. House of the Dead overkill for instance. I had to buy my gun in Holland ^^. Only very few indipendent stores would sell them in Germany. Gamestop is not among them... well they arent indipendent either...
