After hearing that news i'm going to camp out front a major department store chain until this great new system is released... oh wait, no I'm not. Although it will probably be cooler looking than the original PS3, it's still a PS3 making it a piece of crap. Next thing sony will probably be doing is making a smaller PSP...errr...ummmm...oops

If I wanted to slog though crap about characters I hope die at the end to get to the good parts I'd play Sonic Unleashed, and if you know me (which you don't!) I hate that game.
Mainly because not only do the Transformers look like crap, but most of the action is either: A. in slow-motion, B. having the camera jerking around like a little kid on 15 cans of Red Bull, C. half obscured in the background, or D. any combination of the above.

It doesn't matter if if it's lacking compared to Lowrance of Arabia all it needed was big explosions, transforming fighting robots, and Optimus freaking Prime. That's what I paid to see, that's what I wanted, and I loved it.

@Ivan2294 (and anyone else who defends CRAPFORMERS 2)I seriously dont see how people can say: oh, if u want an action movie with good Plot, Story or Script then u should DO/WATCH this or that instead... that is the stupidest thing ever, it does not matter if the movie is based off of a cartoon, comic book, or anything else, there is no excuse for such a bad script as the one in TRANSFORMERS 2, especially with all that money spent making the movie. I must say also, that anyone can come up with BADASS Special Effects (FX) but GOOD SCRIPT is where its at. IronMan did with less explosions, Batman did with less time... i thought the 1st movie was good (passable), the script was believable to some extent but this 2nd attempt was just BIGGER, LOUDER, DUMBER. LoL... (well at least there are some contenders for worse movie of the year: Wolverine Origins, Terminator Salvation, Angels and Demons and now Transformers 2. P.S. i just hope that when i die i dont go to ROBOT HEAVEN (WFT)... lol.
I thought the Transformers movie really wasn't all that great. Not a very well designed movie in general.
Yet it was one of the most entertaining movies I've seen all year.
Though there were so many lame plot twists, holes, and some ridiculous action, fake transformers, and numerous disappointments, the movie was still VERY entertaining. Why? Not really sure, maybe because its story was a bit more "classic" transformers than the first movie... like how they've developed Starscream's rivalry with Megatron and included Optimus Prime's trademark death/rebirth scene that is practically required in any Transformers series. While I thought the first movie was okay and better than expected, I thought this one was pretty good! I never really had the inkling to see the first one again, but I would gladly watch the sequel again.

Exactly! If it was entertaining than that's all that matters. It's not like anyone making the movie was looking for an Oscar. Some people will always complain. Might be helpful to read what I write before slamming GamePolitics for getting a story wrong. We had the Thompson debate story correct from the get-go, including several updates in real time as the situation changed.
Don’t forget, it was your SGC09 guest, Mr. Thompson, who put the word out to the media (GP, specifically) that he wasn’t coming. It’s not a story that we dreamed up.

I've frequented Gamepolitics on many occasions and have sourced you many times as you are a great resource for gaming news. I am aware that Mr. Thompson contacted you for..... whatever reason, and forwarded all of our public relation directors e-mails to you. When I saw the story on your site, I was wondering why we were never contacted by you, or any of the websites mentioned before they ran with their articles. Literally this was a misunderstanding between us and Mr. Thompson and it was over as quickly as it had begun.
When I wrote the script the only story on Gamepolitics had a title that read "Jack Thompson Says He Won't Appear for July 4th Debate at SGC 09" When our event is 2 days away you could imagine why we would be a little unhappy that the title had not been edited as it was no longer accurate. I did see the small update at the bottom though.
Now I do see that you have printed a full updated story, as has GoNintendo, and maybe even G4 will, but who knows. Either way I had planned on addressing the professionalism exhibited by all websites in question tomorrow on Hard News as we appreciate you all posting updates.
