Today Sony pulls their new firmware, a Rock Band 2 track list is revealed, and new suits for Ninja Gaiden 2.

I've never even heard of any of the bands Corey mentioned. Why isn't there more of the really cool stuff like deep purple and iron maiden or perhaps pink floyd or the refreshments.
The problem is grossly exaggerated. It has happened to a few people, but Sony will take care of it. If you want to talk about total "fail"- why not talk about RROD, but hey, no cheap shots. I'm sure you'll be fine.

Uncharted Drake's Fortune, Ratchet and Clank, Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, Resistance, Super Stardust HD, Pixel Junk Monsters, Flow, and Every Day Shooter are all very good games. Not to mention with E3 just around the bend, I'm sure the lights in the sky for PS3 will light up.

my PS3 is only on ver. X.36 (i don't really care about the whole #) do i have to buy a new game for the firmware to be installed on MY PS triple? seriously, I've made countless scans for new system updates, but it always comes up empty, is it not out in Canada yet or something?

On Neogaf out of 600 people, there are only 2 that have had issues. 2 / 600 X 100 = .3% of people. Sony themselves have confirmed that its not a widespread issue. You could play devil's advocate and say its damage control, but my 9 other friends who have updated have had zero issues too.

I don't know... I'm 26 years old and a VERY nostalgic guy... I like every systems and possess all of them (360-Wii-PS3). If you like bashing the PS3, then you've make me realize you're lack of maturity... Did NINTENDO and MICROSOFT paid you Screwattack to hate PS3 (jokes, but... lol). PS3 have some great games now like Metal Gears Solid 4 that's weird, they never talk about this perfect game! That's true, unique game on this console are rares! But who cares? That's the video game business... Soon, Street Fighter 4, Resident Evil 5, Bionic Commando, all of them will be great on 360 and PS3, but i'll buy them on PS3 version of course! ;)

I was working security for an event that Atari had in Austin a few years back. I got to meet some really cool people at the event, like Andrew from Game Informer, and Marc Ecko. I just remember walking through the convention room and seeing all these horrible games Atari was releasing, and I couldn't help but think that the company was in serious trouble. Two years later and my thoughts have come to fruition.

I like Corey's idea for a keyboard addition. Actually, it'd be best if they made an adapter so you could plug any MIDI keyboard in and play along. My piano skills would rock that game!

I don't know why there are so much people who hates Sony and particulary the ps3. Here in Chile at least it's a great console, and if it wasn't so damn much expensive, it would be the best sell one (the ps2 keeps selling good here, after the wii of course)
All its features are great; I mean, the ability to have a media center that plays blur ray discs it's just awesome.

At the end of the day do not let hardware make your descision, let the software. I own a 60 gig and own two games, only one of which I find to be worth anythin. Uncharted is mediocre at best and only gets any acclaim because it is anything in the Ps3's wasteland of software. Ratchet is alright, if you are partial to the series it is more of the same. Resistance is meh, Pc gamer, Heavanely is meh, more of the same and short for the price. Gt5 Prologue is practically a demo. Overall, I think the software is just not there for most people. Buy it as a blu-ray, fine, maybe even as an extra pc, you can mod it to run unbuntu quite easily, but as a gaming system it still lacks support. This, hopefully, will change soon.

Guys, does the PS3 really need to be defended? It has a lot of the same titles that are on the 360, and is a decent system. To me it's all about the controller. If you like the Playstation one.....use a PS3.

Did I make fun of the 360 when they announced they'll be making a stupid pos wiimote ripoff? You bet I did, and I made fun of the Playstation when it was announced that it would be making one also. I dont think I have made fun of the RROD on THIS show yet, but I know I did on The Daily DL. It's just that the RROD is old news. Everyone knows about it.
Now I don't pick on the PS3 just to do it, it's mainly because they're in the news more often than the 360. Usually with the 360 it's because they're releasing a game or something but with the PS3 it's usually for something new.
Anyway don't take the PS3 bashing to heart. They're just easy jokes to write and if theres a bigger story I usually wont use them.

I was one of the lucky ones, and I love the in game XMB. Don't have any games that support the trophie system yet though.
