Dynasty Warriors are safe-bet games that don't demand a lot of money output, yet still rake in cash. Final Fantasy is uh...well, it's the only thing that Square makes which actually makes them a profit, all the while they're making stuff like Kingdom Hearts and publishing titles for Tri-Ace.

Disliking something doesn't change facts, bud. Square-Enix makes a looooot of money off their crap, especially crap like KH. Hate it all you want, you have to admit (to look intelligent, anyway) that SE has a loooooot of fanboys, and they make a looooot of money.
And I assume you're ignoring Dragon Quest, Chrono Trigger being ported, the fact that FFIX is an MMO and gets them monthly subscription fees, and the huge list of games I'm looking at on Gamefaqs.
As far as money and sales go, choosing Koei over SE is kinda like buying a car when you could have a spaceship, because the difference is astronomical.

I heard the gameplay in Facebreaker is actually pretty mediocre. I must admit though, the ability to upload your own pics to EA's servers and then use them to create your character is pretty damn cool.
Yea, anyone else remember that show? I think that is what Facebreaker is going to turn into. I'm pretty sure if you go online, pretty soon you'll find McCain, Bush, Obama, etc. beating the hell out of each other...damn, no wonder Craig picked it!

wtf is right about Tecmo, i mean, i'm sure Koei has some other games that were kind of cool if i could remember them (there is one or two) but Square i think is more well known.
For Craig's game pick of the week, honestly after seeing the interview and how psyched he was about the game, i saw what his pick was from a mile away. I should try Facebreaker though it sounds pretty promising from what was said about it.
I think it's pretty obvious that Facebreaker is meant to be so simple your grandma can play it, and that's why it's fun. It's not trying to be ultra realistic like Fight Night, but just because it's not like that doesn't make it a bad game. That's like comparing a game like Need for Speed Underground (or any of the sequels, except for ProStreet) to Forza Motorsport. Both are fun, but one is realistic and one isn't.

I personally really like the Dynasty Warriors/Samurai Warriors series, so I like this idea of Tecmo and Koei possibly merging.
They have both created games where you just own the shit out of people, so they could collaborate and make something epic.
