I hope you know it's really just a mod of Half Life 2 and the Source engine to replicate everything about Half Life 1. Wouldn't doubt a normal PC could handle it. And a lot of the time, a console can fare better with graphics.

That remake looks awesome, there is also a group that is doing a remake of goldeneye64 using the half life 2 engine. finally I will get to finish halflife, the way it was meant to be.
After watching "out of the box" using the wii for sound & a laptop with no sound for picture to balance my veiwing experience, I'm having difficulties watching hard news on the wii, even though it connects to youtube (which works on the wii) & my silent laptop actually works but with no sound. The thing is it's getting late on a Tueday night here in the uk but is there a way to make it work on my wii before I have to go to sleep or do I have to wait till 2morrow morning to watch it? Anyway thanks.

Unforseen Consequences will bring the Black Mesa Mod and I'll play it to re-live the Hal-Life experience. That's what you should do too Destin, play the original Half-Life to admire it for it's greatness without and then in 2009 with it's graphics.

Give Destin some respect. He's a pretty funny guy, there's really nothing else to it. A large percentage of his sarcasm contributes to the ENTERTAINMENT and SATIRE portion of the segment rather than contributing to the exposition of his own opinions.
And in ALL seriousness, Brawl is completely watered down. It lacks all of the things that made Melee such a high grade MLG/E.V.O. level game (though I have heard Brawl might be at MLG, to be fair). The combos, the spikes, the edgeguarding/hogging...Brawl is basically "hit reel hard til they go boom". I've seen guys get 5 stocked in Melee because the better player spiked them off the edge at like %60 damage. I've never seen anyone die in a serious Brawl match with under %100 damage. It just doesn't happen. It's too easy to survive.

HalfLife for the PS2 is awesome in its own right (it actually has better graphics) but in all honesty this game is truly meant to be played on the PC. A keyboard and mouse owns over an analog stick or D+Pad for FPS any day. But whatev... check it out if you can find the time because it's a classic on any platform.

I just gained a brand spanking new respect, and thats for Megadeath. Personally I feel music is a message, if a band cares less about getting that message out there than making a huge profit, than that band is in it for the business aspect...and what there album brings probably is just a bunch of soon to be forgotten crap anyways...just to feed there bank accounts. I respect MegaDeaths views, and even though I wont buy there album (because I'm not into heavymetal style rock), I sure as hell would buy them over bands that care more about the old $$$. CoughMetallicacough.

Definitely the most over-used effect these days. It's silly too. It's not realistic in the slightest and it doesn't really make things look better, just kind of blurry and stupid.
