Today Call of Duty 4 fans are getting some bad news, EA decides to release a good game, and Craig has his pick of the week from videogamecountdown.com.
Sucks, I actually do like my current psp every so often. I mean yeah the great games are few and far between but they do pop up every so often and competition makes the industry better.

If your a RPG fan then I would highly recomend Persona 4, if your new to Persona, no need to worry, the game's are different story so you don't need a severe background knowledged for it.

No new PSP is great news to me because I'd like to see more games released for the current PSP. Sony has an awesome handheld out there that has way higher capabilities than the DS and a very small library of games worth playing. What the hell? I can't wait for the new games Square Enix has lined up, but more developers need to step up and make some PSP games. Seriously, who would buy a new PSP now if Sony can't even get some content for the old one?

Since they're not making any more, then at least drop the price from 800 MS points! I mean, Halo 3's maps are half that right now, and PC users have always gotten the maps for free, and the GOTY edition of COD4 includes the maps! I just don't think the 4 maps are worth 10 dollars, especially seeing as how 3 are really only ever commonly played online. (killhouse is always strangely absent)
Come on Craig! Im not usually one to push a game onto others but, How in HELL can Mushroom men beat Persona 4? Persona 4 is an AMAZING rpg that absolutely everybody should play. Hell, ive been playing it since the japanese version.

Actually I'm just now at a stage of a game where I will be playing as characters that are nearly completely new to me. The game is MK vs. DCU and I usually start a new game with one character that I really like and then start randomizing all the characters that I want to learn. So, I'm not promising you'll get owned. Just a good, fair game, with no "odd" disconnects right when your about to win. I also have some co-op stuff like Ghost Recon Vegas and Command and Conquer Red Alert 3. (In my opinon co-commander gameplay has given a whole new element to the RTS genre.) As well as other fighting games which are amazingly cheap when they've been out for 2 years! Virtua Fighter 5 is 10 bucks??!! That seems almost.....wrong.
Actually I've been thinking about trying to put together a "Team ScrewAttack" or something like that on XBOX Live. Anywho if you'd like, send me a friend invite and a message to let me know you are a fellow G1. My Gamertag is: LightDance

Guys, I like you, I really do, but when it comes to RPGs its clear you are on unfamiliar territory, or at least it just isnt your thing. So instead of mocking the genre, just do us a favor and act like it doesn't exist.
I'm going to admit I'm a PS3 fanboy. I come to this site cus I enjoy the content. But why do they always dis my beloved PS3 whenever they can?... Craig is an entertainment genius, Jose is funnier than Dave Chepelle, Cory has the prettiest voice on the internet, Ben is extremely relatable, and Steve is idiotic gold. Why the hell is SA dissin the PS3 whenever possible? I love ScrewAttack, I love Dallas, I love the Cowboys, but why do T.O. and ScrewAttack have to play games with my emotions?

As a J-RPG enthusiast, I feel as though the coverage of RPGs at ScrewAttack in general is quite lackluster. It would be nice if there was one new person added to the ScrewAttack family that was a fan of the genre so that we could have a balanced source of knowledge for all genres.
That being said, I find Craig's choice for the Pick of the Week to be perfectly valid from his own point of view. Just because a game is good does not mean that everybody needs to like it. For example, I dislike FPS games in general, though I can certainly admit that games like CoD4 are good, even if they aren't for me.

I totally agree with you. I myself am not an FPS fan, but i admit that some of the games look awesome like CoD4. It's just that my preference goes to JRPGs and the lack of coverage from SA can be a bit disapointing. However, i understand if it's not their cup of tea. Especially since this last couple of years there have been only 2 good RPGs worth mentioning: Persona 3 & 4.
Although a new member in the SA family that likes RPGs would be nice, i heard in the latest Sidescrollers that Jose is getting into the Final Fantasy franchise and RPGs so maybe we'll see a new segment of Jose's uber RPG skillz ^_^.
But Jose if you are searching for a good JRPG that is easy to get into and most importantly fun to play, check out Persona 3. It is one of my favorite and gets my seal of approval.
Or maybe they should concentrate on fixing what they have now! Seriously, the current state of the PSP and PS3...SO much wasted potential, makes a gamer sad...

I clearly remember Infinity Ward saying so long as the community is behind COD4 they would continually work on new content for it... what a bunch of dicks! And whatever happened to the user created level competition? I also remember a message of the day saying to go get the PC level making software and enter levels and good levels would be made available to console users... jesus... IW just keeps talking BS...

But they are making an entirely new Call of Duty Modern Warfare, so it's safe to say that they ARE updating it. I'd rather play a whole new game with the same formula and feel (but with new graphics, guns, levels etc) than play the same thing over and over with the same old guns, same old perks and same old singleplayer.
COD4's singleplayer experience was short, but nothing short of phenomenal. All the timed events flowed smoothly together. I cant wait for another great singleplayer experience along with a whole new multiplayer experience.
On the bright side, if we dont like COD4:MW2, we can just go back to COD4:MW

Persona 3 was a masterpiece and possibly the best game of 2007. The sequel is about just as great. Persona 4 FTW. Now why listen to a guy who didn't give the superior choice any time and just brush it off to the side like it's nothing. I kinda dig the concept Mushroom Men and all, but in comparison it's just a dog turd next to a strawberry cake. It's just things like that recently that make me loose all faith in this site.
