The 2008 iteration of the Iron-Man of Gaming will be remembered for a number of different things- epic matches, a killer atmosphere and a hell of a good time. For those of you who keep saying "I wish I could go but..." really need to buck up and start saving for next year's IMOG trip now. If you've learned anything from ScrewAttack it's that no matter we're involved in we're gonna do our best to make you have a good time- isn't that what gaming is all about anyways? You're damn right.

It seems like a small affair? Not knocking the event at all I wanted to go, but the video makes it seem only 60 or so people showed up. I hope I am really wrong on that since you guys put a lot of work into it.
How many people (estimate) did show up? I hope a lot did. It just seemed kind of empty at certain points of the video.

Yeh I would like to see way more IMOG related content on ScrewAttack. Hell I thought there would have been more than this so far.
However understandabley after working so hard at IMOG, the ScrewAttack family had to rest. After a bit of rest they did deliver a good bit of content for the following week but you have to realize E3 is coming up. That is a whole nother round of preperation and even more video game coverage and content to film, edit, and put up on the site.
Seems to me that might be all the IMOG content we get in such a case. I hope it isn't though but you can't blame them if it is.

If you want to see it ALL well then BE there to see it all. i'll admit i wasn't there either, but there had to be ALOT of stuff that happened at the IMOG that its just impossible to put into one video.
plus if you want more, give youtube a look around i'm sure many of the people who attended filmed some of the things at the event.
Its not like people who didnt go had a choice..
I didnt choose not to go so I could sit on my ass all day.. I didnt have the money or the time to get there and if I want to see more IMoG because I was not lucky enough to make it, thats not a crime..

Honestly though, it was well worth the trip from Chicago. Majority of the people there were super nice and down to earth, there was a huge variety of games to play, and all of the different events were a blast. I will definitely be attending again next year, no doubt about it.

As awesome as this event is, and I know it is, I want to go to my city's humble anime convention that we have here, but I really really really want to go to the IMOG. what sucks though is that they're at the same time! its like! FUCK! but, I need help on a decision! (the convention is pretty bad ass but I know the IMOG will kick more ass.)

If you love both events, I would say come to the Iron-Man of Gaming. It was like no event I had been to before. I felt like it was something of a huge family gathering. A bunch of great people all at one placing, enjoying each other's company and just growing new and old friendships.
You will not be disappointed. (Unless you get disappointed)
Final Ranks?
Wasn't it mentioned the final Rankings would be put up for everyone to see after the Iron-Man wrapped up?
Personally I know I came in 11th, but there's some people out there that didn't make the top 16 that want to know where they stood at the end of it all.
So are we going to see the final rankings of all 52 competitors put up at all?

It really was a fun time, and I hope all those who missed it can make it next year! You should start planning for it now, that's what I'm doing. I was really sad when the event ended because I made a lot of new friends who I may not see until the next Iron-Man.

this video is definitely EPIC. I really wish I could've gone to the IMOG. Just the feeling of getting cheered on by many people must be incredible. The thing that I like the most about this video is that it even showed older folks gaming, and also some people that had some handicaps. This seriously amplified my already huge respect for ScrewAttack. It just goes to show that everybody is welcome to be apart of something awesome, even though it was kind of evident from the beginning. Nonetheless, ScrewAttack n00bs pwns and I really hope I can go to IMOG '09!

...although, this video does the event no good. PBC kept getting the same people over and over, and didn't get some of the other people that went (such as myself and a friend of mine), so there was about a total of 100 people or so. Days 1 and 2 were extremely popular.

I assume that since the videos went from "IMoG Overview" to "IMoG Recap" that the they had the intention of making more videos, but since E3 is next week they simply did not have the time and had to move to this new project, understandably so.
Its too bad though, I wanted to see some footage of some of the epic battles that were discussed on the site.

Being from Ireland which is a somewhat fair distance from texas, as im sure some people would know. Attending Iron Man my be a bit "expensive" for my and my mate which plan to go nest year.
So if anyone reallt really really wants to put up with two complete strangers from ireland for a few days and give us some place to stay so we dont have to pay for a hotel.....than let me know
