That had probably the most references to older titles than any other episode of Life in a Game. This was also freakin ridiculously awesome with the way the music was integrated. Nice work, guys!

Shadow Man was the first Robot Master I ever pwned. I'd recognise his music anywhere! BTW, this episode was pretty darn epic, especially with the Screwattack crew doin' the recap. Way to go guys, keep it up!

Life in a Game always had amazing production values, but this episode has left me in awe, it was perfect! I actually thought this was going to be the last episode, but I'm really glad it isn't, I love this series!

I find this signature rather shallow and pedantic
Wow, that's just... so boring. For all the effort you guys put into this, someone should have an eye on keeping the pace flowing. Every shot is too long, as if saying, "Hey, check out how long I thought about staging every single action in this fight scene." Example: The blue guy trying to pick up the metal bar. Okay, it's too heavy for him. We get it. Move along. Better yet, leave that out as it didn't forward the action at all and it wasn't even funny. Keep the pace going.
That's another thing: the mixture of humor and drama. It's hard to get right and this doesn't get it right. In order for your "gags" to work, the tone has to be less serious. The main character's expression is locked in and just communicates, "This is serious business." If you are actually trying to play it dramatically, your jokes are ill-placed.

The "quality of the humor" thing is completely subjective and sorta impossible to debate reasonably, but pacing-wise, if you're using the metal bar bit as an example of a slaughtered pace, I'd disagree. The entire fight scene consists mostly of 1 to 3 second shots. Having one 5 second shot about 2 1/2 minutes into the fight is an acceptable break I feel.
If it bothered you that much though I'd explore this site.
There are plenty of other examples, if that's what you want. How about the very beginning (1:51), when they stand off before the bad guy runs? That might have been funny if we could see the expression on the masked guy's face. As it is, it makes little sense for the long pause.
I won't do a blow-by-blow critique, because I'm not trying to flame or "prove" that my opinion is right. I would hope that experience makes these better, though, since they seem committed to making them.

Awesome recap by SA crew with the LoZ (I think remixed) theme! I love the fact that Frog just stops during battle to fight and then gets interrupted.
