Absolutely awesome. The production for this show has gone up quite a few notches since its start. The acting, writing, direction, and just general look are all sharper and more professional now (not just this episode either). I can't wait for the finale.

i should of known that atari was behind this. they must have been steamning after custermors did the math and went nintendo! GO GET GENDO GUY, GO GET HIM!
They have uncanny similarities like baldness, egg shaped heads, huge ears, Atari employees, and they both seem to fail quite often. Brothers? Cousins? Seems possible.
This episode is basically a big reveal for secrets from the whole series, so watching it now is kind of a waste and you won't get half the jokes or drama.

Uh, no offense but Mega64 did an episode similar to this several years back (found on their 2006 DVD.) I’m not accusing anyone of plagiarism, but the story and situations use the exact premise which I find very suspicious. We're they perhaps an inspiration for this episode or even credited?

This isn't just a rip off of the "Life in a Console" episode of Mega 64, it's a rip off of the whole damn thing. Except this show is more flashy, with the use of sprites, and the blue screen game play sections remind me of Nick Arcade (if you don't know what it is look it up). But yeah this show is just lame, and not in the good way that the early Mega64 episodes were.
I’m not criticizing the entire show; some of it has actually been entertaining in its own way. I just feel that this particular episode echoes everything involved with Mega64.
Well the only Mega64 episodes I ever watched were one where a guy dressed as a Tetris block, one where he was Ryo from Shen Mue, and one where he was Solid Snake in a grocery store. I mean they were hilarious but if it's something other than that I can personally say it's purely coincidence.

What youre describing are the skits from the Mega64 show. People who are unfamilar with the concept dont realize that Mega64 consists of 30 minute episodic adventures. Its very similar to Life in a Game, cause the Mega64 is a console that imports the person into the game. The evil scientist Dr. Poque captures test subjects who experience the games via the skits that you see. If youre curious, heres a video link to the introduction of their show. It predates Life in a Game by 5 years. I know, cause I own all the DVDs. Coincidently, there is an episode called "Life in a Console"
Really? I went to the video page and every video I clicked on was like 2 to 5 minutes long, and the oldest ones were those ones I mentioned.
Don't get me wrong, it's hysterical but I'm in the dark with the whole thing! XD

haha thanks Ben. I hope to meet you in person at SGC!
And actually I was concerned that LIAG would be seen as ripping off of "College RPG" or whatever it's called on YouTube. Dan and I watched that like right after we made the 2nd episode! It's actually quite funny for anyone who hasn't seen it already.

They dont post full episodes or reveal anything involving their show, cause its an astute method to get you to buy their DVDs. Believe me, when they first debuted in 2004, I was expecting a DVD of skits but it turned out to be an actual show. I wish I can link you to full episodes on "certain" sites, but the crew strongly opposes of pirating their work.
The only way i can validate my claims is through their wiki.
When we came up with this show I was thinking "how can nobody have done this before?" And now we find out we completely ripped off M64! I guess there are worse shows to accidentally copy.

I wouldn't call it a rip off if its an excellent show. Rip offs sucks. This is just a unique spin on things. Like thousands of other things out there, they took an idea that already exists, whether they knew it or not, and made it their own with their own uniqueness to it. That's not a rip off.

Everybody gets the kick!
This was a crazy episode. The humor was hard to find but if you know games, you could find it. But the plot... I won't say anything because I hate spoilers but... it's so crazy. I like the "cell" phone at 6:25. 90's jokes FTW.

Did anyone else catch the nametag on one of the people in the room after the power point was shown. One of the guys had the name "Justin Baily" on his nametag.

I feel that there are a ton of subtle references that may be going over my head but that's cool. That just makes me wanna go back and watch every episode again. I got the Konami code, the dialogue from half-life, and I noticed there was a picture of laura croft's boobs during the initializing pron part. And someone pointed out a Justin Bailey nametag. good stuff. WAIT HOLD ON IS THAT THE STAR WARS KID WEARING THE JUSTIN BAILEY NAMETAG???

I think that is the last time we may see Captain S. :-( I really hope the whole thing is a joke, but kind of a bummer seeing Chad in Captain S gear knowing the series is dead.

Julia?
and Gendo Ikari??
is there anymore anime characters that are gonna be included? Heero Yuuy? Vash the Stampede? Gene Starwind? Nicholas D. Wolfwood?
and i like that authorization code.
Haha
I loved the Konami code reference.
Also, I think the acting has gradually improved over the course of the show. It started off good, and is now top notch.
Gendo? Phil Harrison? Related?!
