Can you believe that Jose is actually into a fighting game? Of course it has chicks wearing next to nothing and giant ass bouncy boobs. An Iron-Man game in 2007, DOA4 may look like a button masher but Jose is here to give you the real deal on how you can dominate your foes.

Great hints, but I think you have to press back in different directions to counter attacks with different hights. Strait back only counters mid attacks I think. I've only played the demo a while back, but I think that's how it works.

I haven't played DoA4 but I'm a frequent player of the first three in the DoA series.(well, not the first as much as 2 and three :)) And you're right about the counters (at least in the ones I've played) you have to push back, up and x to counter high attacks (down, back and x for low)

Despite the shallow surface (bikinibabes with giant bouncy boobs, etc.) the DoA series is a well balanced fighting game which require a lot of skill to master. A button-mashing n00b will loose almost every time against an experienced DoA-gamer. At least that's what I've noticed while playing with friends.

You have to push forward to counter a mid-kick as well. Dont pick the women because they're hot because most of them suck, except the karate chick. I'd stick with Ein and Brad. (Who has time to think they're hot? i'm playing a game dammit!)

I use my mad multitasking skills. I admire everything on the screen from the sexy, to the pretty, and to the kick assy:P. And my favorite characters are Ayane and the karate guy that does the Bruce Lee yell after he attacks :P

Yeah, those are my favorites too but Jan-Lee (the karate guy) is really annoying when you fight against him. The sounds, how he moves and his unblockable karate jump-kick.. annoying! :)

But a cool character and fun to play as.

w/e you do, do NOT see the movie that they made off of this game, it was just terrible and cheesy.The only good thing about it was the introduction, the rest of it was pretty bad.
