Not bad. I might actually start playing CoD 4, but it's so hard to switch from PC shooters, to console ones, but after I get it, I am usually pretty good, with a console shooter it seems a little unfair, because the aim is so easy. Haha.
I'm going to go play some Return to Castle Wolfenstein for the pc now. With the other 20 people that still play online.

So don't make the switch to console shooters! You might as well just go to the dark side and get killed at the end like vader.
I know how horrible it can be I got Halo 3 on consoles. compared to PC versions of halo 1 and 2 it sucks balls with out a mouse.
but it is not you it's is the controler it is like playing a light gun game with out a light gun or steet fighter 2 with a 3 button gamepad it sucks and don't work.
The aim easy because the programmers ever since halo they have put in a slight AI auto aim so you only have to be "broadside of the barn close" to hit the target and it will take over so you have a chance in hell of hitting anything with a gamepad.
If they did not have that AI auto aim nobody would hit anything in the game with a controler.
PC with a mouse does not have that and you hit faster vetern mode single player is a breeze since you move 6 time faster than the AI solders with a mouse. You are spining around at high speed and taking them out with head shots in ways you cant do witha controler it's not possible technically it don't have that kind of tracking .
(not to mention technicaly suppior tracking over an analog stick)
And as i said before the big thing online play..
32 players online for pc. rather than 18 for xbox 360 or ps3 and they will do moves and gun play online they don't do on console because it is not possible with a controler.
online payer is smoother with PC servers. the game looks and sounds better on PC.
Get call of duty 4 on PC on valve's Steam service or buy it here.
in fact you can get all of xbox 360 shooter but couple on PC and there better in everyway.
and cost less since you don't have to pay that extra $10 console junk and the maps and mods are free
Whats all that "this version is the best" "that version is the best all about" anyways? If you dont like the other versions, dont play them. You already made your statement to the publisher by buying one particular version.
You may be right its sometimes faster/more accurate to aim and turn on the PC, but on the other hand, some people like to sit back and play from their couches.
And because everyone uses the same control-method on the 360 or PS3, its evenly balanced anyways. So if you totally "pWn bTches" in the 360 version, its because you are better than they are.
Stop arguing about wich version ís best, and simply start playing the one wich you are enjoying the most.

I dunno, I think my couch is better than yours. I like sitting on its nice, cool, leather seat while playing COD4 with a CONTROLLER on a TV SCREEN on PREFECTLY FINE ONLINE SERVES but with EASIER TO MANAGE controls!
Easier to manage controls? Highly debatable... Isit so hard to point and click with a mouse? :) Perfectly fine online servers... I've rarely gotten into not fine online servers in CoD4 (PC) xD

I see one flaw in your comment here... The PC version of CoD4 can be played with 64 players. There aren't alot of those servers, but they do exist. But 64 players is a bit too chaotic for CoD4 in my opinon. 32 is enough.

I'm relatively new at CoD4 and these tips seem like they will help, but you could really help the noobs by fleshing out these puntos a little more. Make a 10 minute show out of this imo! =P
Tournament players and "pros " play call of duty 4 on PC not the console ports like ps3/xbox 360 that have auto aiming where you only have to be in a relative position of the target for it to help you since you are playing with a controller not a mouse..
yes i saw the buttons show on the hud and it don't look as good so you can tell it is the xbox 360 version.
and you can only have 18 players on xbox 360 rather than 32 so that limits your team size to work with in tournaments or even just fun play 32 is better it plays diffrent for all those ways. more players= diffrent tactics.

FYI, Tea-bagging someone who uses Martrydom is risky business!
My advice for noobs, granade launcher. It's usually an
easy 2 kills. Even if you're getting shot at, you usually still have enough time to turn around and use the launcher. (Unless you're really close, then you're screwed!)
Also with the granade launcher, you don't have to hit your target right on.
Perfect NOOB starter kit;
M-16 with Granade Launcher, then switch to the AK-47 when you unlock it.
Martytdom will help you in small maps, and UAV jammer is good for large maps!
Once you get a handle on the game, switch up your perks!

You should've added in "cookin" the gernade jose. This way those window campers dont have time to run or throw it back. Good shit though.
if you want a noob build just get grenade launcher + sonic boom + martyrdom u will get kills for sure though extremely lame and annoying. ofc it takes a while to unlock some of thouse, but you get the idea.
and i'm suprised why jose dosen't play cod4 on pc since more tournaments, lans and stuff really good if ur competivite person though i bet screwattack takes all the time so no chance for lan trips =(
