I moved to Japan and found that it was a rare drink but I hunted down shops that sold it and suddenly Chuck Norris in the heavens smiled down upon me and forced Japan to now carry it in a ton of nearby vending machines. Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars is the RTS with live action clips for the story.
IMO the easiest way to explain RTS gameplay is to say you get workers, the workers build different buildings like a command center/technology research buildings/melee soldier training facilities/ranged soldier training/siege manfucaturing (like tanks or bombers). And you also need the workers to mine resources to make the buildings and to train and build up your army. It's all about who can build the fastest and who can make the best combination of army units to defeat your opponent. Strategy plays a big part in everything you do.
Basically RTS games have a god view. You look down onto the maps via an overhead camera.
BTW I saw an article concerning Halo 4 on IGN. IGN reported that Gearbox is rumored to be working on the next installment which would be for the launch of the new MS console. Gearbox is the dev that did the port of Halo from Xbox to PC. Most of the work they've done is all on ports thus far.
It was kinda obvious he was being sarcastic about C&C. Hell, I'm not even a PC gamer, & I knew what he was talking about. And I've never even played C&C!
I think their was a little game on N64 called Goldeneye that started the whole FPS thing on consoles, at least the first good one. Halo didn't even get good till the second one. But I do love the multi-player on Halo 1.Yeah and i have a question guys. Besides screwattack, were there any other names you guys were thinking of before you decided to go with screwattack.

Mario isn't the most recognizable character in gaming. Pac-Man is. Mario is second, and master chief(AKA lame faceless guy in robot suit with no personallity) is far from him. I'm sure characters like Link, Cloud, Sephiroth, Pikachu(amongst others) and Megaman are still more recognizable than master chief.
And WTF at not liking UHF? One of the best comedies ever other than "Top Secret!". I watched it over 10 times now and i still love it every time i see it.
At least until a series of gigantic, worldwide polls come out, showing a picture said characters and asking people to type in who they think he or she is.
That because of their insane popularity in the 90s, Sonic & Mario are the 2 most recognisable in gaming. Think about it, who DOESN'T know Sonic or Mario?

You guys definitely need someone who knows something about RTS and other similar games because you never mention anything about PC games it seems to me. I'd be willing to help if I could.
Also, Goldeneye 64 and Perfect Dark are the gold standard for console FPS games to me. I also think turok 1/2 deserves some respect.

RTS isn't an instant-gratification genre. It won't go over as well with the kind of market that Halo attracts. But it'd be nice if it did.
The RTS you were thinking of was Command and Conquer 3, Destin. Then there's the expansion, Kane's Wrath. Supreme Commander also came out for 360. And Universe at War.
The Conduit is by High Voltage Software, a 3rd-party company. It's coming out for the Wii, but it's not by Nintendo. In fact they don't have a publisher yet because they think it's best to save that until they're done and not get bent over backwards through development.

Hey Duke 3d has this addon on the pc where it ups the resolution and I swear it makes it feel like a new game, the graphics are soo good and setting it up with the mouse makes it feel like unreal before its time I`ll email Destin about the patch and see if he will check it out, on top of it it`s a legal mod and the people at 3drealms know about it.
New ps2 model?? umm ok. I don`t have any next gen consoles but ps3 would be my choice.
Emulators I use them for games that are not from here like Earthbound 1
