This game deserves to be where it is. Best Sonic game ever made and nothing will ever top it. As far as Sonic R, I never played it and I am GLAD I never did or I would probably hurt a cute little puppy. Anyways, great choices for both lists

Nice video. I had Sonic R and it wasn't that bad for an 8 year old who likes sonic. But now it wouldn't be that fun. Just wanted to throw that out there.
If you thought it was fun, then it was fun. That's the thing that bugs me about game critics: They'll convince people something's bad, and people start believing the critics' opinions over their own eyes.
Personally I've never played Sonic R, so I don't have an opinion on it.
As for Sonic the Hedgehog 360, it was actually a fantastic game, despite what every professional critic under the sun said. Incredible gameplay variety-- granted not every character and level was good (I'm looking at you Amy-- but the overall package came closer than any Sonic game before or since to capturing that Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 magic. Play it, Sonic fans, don't listen to the haters.

The 2D sonic sidescroller games rock my ass off!! some are even better than a couple mario classics (HOLY SHIT REALLY???). Ive gotta try sonic cd, ive heard its awesome from so many.

Hey wait, WHAT?! Sonic R, the worst Sonic game of all time? I loved the game(Golden Sonic ftw)! I didn't think Sonic 3D was that bad either, once I got the hang of it.
If there is one Sonic game I particularily dislike, it has to be Sonic Heroes. Too much puzzling, too little running, and the two companions always following you are just a nuisance. They should have just given Sonic all the abilities (speed, strength and flying), and gotten rid of all the other meaningless characters. I realize there is a storyline involved, but I would gladly trade it for some gameplay.
Anyway, too bad Sonic R doesn't work in Vista or XP. I want to try it again :3

yeah same with me. not the sonic heroes part, but the thing about you wanting to play sonic R is the same with me and sonic CD. i still have it, but it doesn't work on XP.
When my dad upgraded our computer a long time ago, I waited and searched for months trolling on rom sites filled with naughty stuff unfit for an 10 year old and I finally found a patch that allowed the game to work on XP. It is called the Korama's patch or simply SonicCDfix.
I have to agree that Sonic CD was the best sonic game ever. Believe it or not I still had my Sonic CD disk out even before I saw or read about this video! (I got it in my hand now.) I hope it works on Vista!
I totally agree with the placement of the games. I haven't played any of the ones that got terrible ratings and everything, but when I was younger I got Sonic and Knuckles and Sonic CD for my computer. They were sooo much fun. I just wish that they would work on my newer computers...so sad when it didn't work out...

ARE U REALLY KIDDING ME! Sonic Fighters was a great game it should have atleast made #5 in the best!!!! U guys just dont like to experement with the moves they give u it is a challange! Also sonic r wasn't that bad! it was really fun(just wish they pput diff music tho) but thats not the point! if it was so bad y is it in sonic mega colletion they have the best old sonic games! sonic fighters is also on there!
I'm just surprised that Sonic Adventure 2: Battle didn't make it in. I realize it was a remake, but it certainly blows the first adventure out of the water. I still play it to this day.

Sonic R The worst Game? I don't think it is so bad, and the music isn't that terrible either. Also the graphics aren't crap for back then when the saturn was around. I thought they were pretty good. I agree with sonic 3d blast though. Sonic spinball i didn't like either. the ending sucked after all that trouble to beat it. and yes sonic cd was a masterpiece. I wish that sonic could get revived I am not like one of these executioner reviewers who want to see a great franchise go down. Is that entertaining for you guys to see a game title die? Then go and play some other game, I hope that Sonic makes a comeback, It would suck to see Sonic games die.

When I play a racing game, I want to get an energetic feeling, and usually the music helps, like in PGR4. But Sonic R's music sounds more soothing and relaxing, and not energetic.

Somewhere a young child of 30 just played Sonic the Hedgehog on the 360 and relised that its time to move out of the basement. Luckily, that was my neighbor and he needed a life to begin with. So I showed my friend good Sonic games. That set them stright.

Well, Sonic racer is the beginning of tails doll, not only is it scary about being a simple doll with a remote antenna (and we all know Robotnik/Eggman is capable of doing FAR more advanced robots) there is a bug in Sonic racer...
When you play against Tails doll (and hear the sunshine music like in this list) there is a chance that you zoom into Tails doll, the colors become inverted, the music become really weird. The game is possessed actually and hear the lyrics of the song:
Can you feel the sunshine, does it brighten up your day?

I agree that Sonic CD was a great game, but its way too over hyped. Sonic the hedgehog 2 was a much better game. It had maybe the most badass last boss and side boss till the advance games came along. Sonic CD's last boss was very mild, uncreative, and very easy to beat.And the level where you fight Metal Sonic was not epic enough.
And yes Sonic Racer is a damn bad game, but the music in the game is why you remembered it. It was sissy girly music that made you feel like a fruit while playing. However Sonic heroes is maybe the grand daddy of garbage. The whole game you play as the power character, and cough cough sonic is not a power character.One good thing about it, Metal Sonic looks really badass in his new form. The form before he transforms into a gay dragon. But.......you never fight him in that form, you see him for 10 seconds then its dragon form. Its like they tried to put sprinkles and what partly killed sonic. All the damn worthless other characters in it. Sonic, tails, Amy, Knuckles, robotnik, and maybe Shadow should be the only characters.
Plus, how egotistic did they make sonic in this game by calling his team Team sonic. I mean there is 2 other members in your team you ego prick lol.

My friends and I played it after school when we were in 2nd grade. I actually thought it was fun back then. I guess I don't remember the music.
