I remember playing a black and white rip-off of Wolfenstein 3D and I think it was one of the main reasons why I stood away from FPS games.

Seriously I thought I was the only one that played that. I remember it came in one of those software bundles on a floppy...yeah its THAT old...still played it for a while tho.

Yeah, PC kicks ass...... At least the PC version was good, when they looked at the game at the Nintendo Headquarters, they said "Na, let add rats, zombies, no blood, a blue cross, no muchtaches, and no hitler..... Lets make an English game with stops and halts" <- and thats when the SNES had its censorship as a suckage...... Anyways, there is games released for PCs only, such as "Rise of The Triad", even for the Commander Keen.
but be happy you're not living in germany, because here the censorship is nearly rediclious. i mean, wolfenstein 3D wasn't even released here (which i can understand, but not quite).
even i, as a adult, have to suffer under the censorship because even games for adults like e.g. bioshock are without blood here, and that is just ridiculous!
i rather import the important (violent) games from austria than buy it here.

....Why didn't they just call them the Puzzis in the game? And call their villain the puzzmeista?
Anyway, Nintendo had a MAJOR censorship thing back on the SNES. Remember the Mystics in Crono trigger? They were supposed to be calle demons. but Nintendo said "no, that word is flagged. You say it, your game don't get published"
Heck, in secret of Mana, you fight evil dogs from hell and they're called...what now? Heck hounds? Funny, but.... odd.
In othe rwords...I'm all for keeping some of the more extreme stuff out of the hands of little kiddies..but....they're not as innocent as you might think. :P

am i the only one that thinks that the console versions portraits look a lot like george w bush and if you watch the avgns bible games reviews it explains exactly what the original creaters thought about the remake

I remember watching my dad play this game on the PC when I was little and loved just watching it. So when it came out on SNES, and I saw it available at Movie Gallery, I seriously let out a Mariah Carey-ish scream that was probably half a second, but long eough to get weird looks from EVERYONE there...lmao.
Then I popped it in, and after a while honestly felt lke I wasn't even playing Wolf3D.
BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT....now that its on XBLA, I spent days on it. I've already 200'd that shit, son -- let's just leave it at that :) Now I'm just hoping that Spear Of Destiny will come out on xbla eventually.

I remember in a VGV that Craig said about us 'Europeans' getting boned from censorship but us 'BRITS' (not european but thats too hard to explain) i remember blood being on my SNES version!
Tho this still happens today! e.g. Mortal Kombat Vs DC, the Joker's fatality with the gun is shown out of screen is the U.S. version but in the U.K. we can see it all! (You're not missing much, well practically anything, as it takes away from the imagination & anything could happen such as a massive head explosion!
