Castle in the Sky - A Movie You Should See (Zelda and Final Fantasy Fans especially)

I have recently been trying to get my hands on anything Japanese lately. That ranges from imported games to graphic novels and anime. In the this process of trying to become more knowledgable about the Japanese entertaiment I have found many anime movies that are just mind blowing. A few of these are the works of Satoshi Kon (Paprika, Tokyo Godfathers), Keiko Nobumoto (Cowboy Beebop, Wolf's Rain), and everything by Hayao Miyazaki (Sprited Away, Princess Mononoke, and Castle in the Sky).

i still dont understand... but i like it (MGS4)

Hey g1s i have just finished Metal Gear Solid 4 and i must say... DAGGOM. The whole game was as cinematic as you can get without being labeled as a movie. It had emotion (which very few games can grab the player the way this did for me) some of the best fight scenes that are on par with the great kung fu movies (Hero) but the reason most people will play this game is for the final chapter of this 20 year story. but the problem is i still cant wrap my head around it. now i might get a lil feedback saying "what are you stupid?

thanks a big one

since becoming a G1 i have tooken up the responsibility of making the screwattack community a strong one by going to the forums, listening to podcast, watching vids, digg vids, and even started a little blog as many have. well i have come to really enjoy it. i come to the site everyday look at the news and sometimes get a little smile from it. it really makes me feel pretty good seeing that some of the things i type get a little feedback. so i wanted to say thanks to all the people who make it possible. the community and site workers.

Trailers

the video game industry has come a long way since its early days. since then we have had better graphics, more compelling storys, and a different way of getting the product to the consumer. considerbly the way trailers have changed

Pokemon MMO?

imagine: you walking around. in a dark forest surrounded by pokemon, and around the next corner you see another person. and he says lets battle.
now that may not be the best illustration of what could happen but man that gives me chills at how good a pokemon MMO could be. the little ol gameboy color game was pretty big. so imagine how big the map for the game could be. HUGE. i mean HUGE. going around town to town getting your badges and having a big tournement once collected all of them it is scary how good it could be

peoples' influence online

This thought came up thet other day while searching through the web. everyone knows that your friends whether at school or a job influence the way you talk act etc... well do you think this applys the same for people online. i can see that many people spend loads of time on messageboards on all sites and there is a lot of interactivity of ideas between people.

The Lonely Gamer v. The Online Gamer

I have been a DIE hard nintendo fan since i was a wee little boy as many were. With this comes many good things such as the great franchises of Zelda, Mario, Metroid. but as well as this you have many bad things such as most of the games on the big N console are
"kid freindly", most of the only good games are only nintendo. so you are forced to wait on the next nintendo game for something good. and no online.
