I was just having fun with this one. It's pretty retarded.

Staring Jose El Mexicano, Chad El Whatever, and guest appearance by some whiny bitch.

That's right, in time, I'll be doing covers of every song on the Top 10 Video Game Themes video. I'll be doing them all in very different styles, so don't expect them all to be just more of the same. (For example, I'm thinking of incorporating chamber strings into the next track.)

Seeing as Marc did a blog on the changing of one of his MIDI compositions to an MP3 file for Webs of Destruction ( http://screwattack.com/node/9453 ), I figured I'd write my own blog on the subject from my perspective. I'll be including MP3 samples as I go to give you an idea of how I flesh these out, going from a standard MIDI file to a full-on MP3.

If you're a Gitaroo Man like myself, you may be familiar with the game's versus mode. In this mode, when you get to the final portion of the song, whoever has the most energy will get to play solo. If this is player 1 (U-1), then you'll hear the standard ending. However, if this is player 2, they will play their instrument instead. Many of them are quite similar, just played on a different sounding instrument. Some of them are vastly different, though, such as the whistle and steel drums the Sanbone Trio play instead of the trumpet and guitar U-1 plays.

That's right, I am at AnthroCon in Pittsburgh, PA, and I am having a blast.

In addition to seeing a bunch of familiar friends and making a few more, I scored a copy of EarthBound and a SNES for $100 - presently the biggest highlight of the trip.

I don't understand the point of these.

So someone spends some time and effort writing about something, and then someone comes along and leaves a comment about being the first to comment on it. Why? Is someone handing out prizes for posting first the most? If so, I missed that memo and would really like to read it.
