Reviewing The Ooze on the Sega Genesis

Before there is any form of confusion, not that there would be, this is not the one from Action 52. Never actually played it but have played a different game. This one is just by itself for the Sega Genesis. The way the game is designed, it is a bit of an overworld like style made famous by The Legend of Zelda. To be honest, this game never really got mentioned much and was one of those games that was decent but forgotten about. Probably a case of attention towards the next Sega system but who knows really.

FX Fighter Review

I'm sure everyone has played Street Fighter 2 or Mortal Kombat in their life time at least once. Those games are probably considered and I think they are the faces of fighting games. Mostly known in the 2D World, these were some of the best games to play. Today I'm going to look at a game that you don't hear much about.

Mega Man 9 Review

It is finally here and I got it downloaded. I had done in a couple blogs before hand of looking at each and every one of the Mega Man Classic games leading up to 9. You can get for the Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360.

This is something that takes you back to the past with Mega Man at its best. Don't get me wrong, I liked Mega Man 7 & 8 but the NES ones were the best ones to me. But I want to focus more on 9. If you wish to read about them, fill free as they are not too far behind this post.

Revisiting the thought of a Zelda Movie

Could a Legend of Zelda Movie Work?

I have some updated thoughts on this now that I think more about it. The next one will be when I get the chance about Mega Man 9 to finish up on the Mega Man Classic series reviews.

The big reason is probably having to do with being a bit skeptical on the idea of a live action Zelda movie. I just do not think the costumes could look accurate especially for some of the characters. I'm not sure how Ganondorf would even be presented.

My Game for the Week: Castlevania: Curse of Darkness

I just recently got a hold of the game and have played it through from top to bottom and personally found to be a rather good game. In a question about whether there could be a good 3D Castlevania game and I found one. This was the last 3D Castlevania adventure game. I know there is going to be Castlevania: Judgment for the Wii but that's a 3D fighting game. It does look promising but I will have to reserve judgment until I actually play it myself.

Random Tiblits: Gaming in General, Console Purchasing, and others

After doing an entire on the Mega Man Classic series, I'm going to look into other items.

When it comes to purchasing a game console, it comes down to a few factors. To me, these are the primary ones: Money, Reputation, Features, and of course Exclusives. Why do I say exclusives? Well, put it this way. If you all ready own say an Xbox 360 for example and there's a game coming out like sometime in the distant future Final Fantasy 13. Now, it's going to be on the PS3 and that could have given Sony a huge edge, but with it going on the 360, my prediction is that because of people owning that system, they may be more inclined to just buy the game itself. That's just an example right there. I'm going to go into these areas.

Mega Perspective: Mega Man & Bass

Well it's finally here. I know 3 blogs in 3 days. Well, that's what happens when you're on a roll and ready to finish it up. This is the game that was at one point maybe considered by some people in the Mega Man Community as Mega Man 9 based upon where it fits chronologically. With now Mega Man 9 becoming a reality, it no longer has that but if I had to venture on where it goes, it would be between 8 and 9.

Mega Perspective: Mega Man 8

It's getting closer to the end of this. Now I look at this game and it's very funny how I didn't know it existed for a few years. I always thought for the longest time that it ended at Mega Man 6 back on the NES but it turns out I was wrong.

What made this game different was that it had animated cut scenes. My biggest gripe was that they screwed up with Mega Man and Dr. Light's voice. I can live with the others for the most part but I think it could have been done better.

Mega Perspective: Mega Man 7

This is the 1st and only Super Nintendo Mega Man Adventure game from the classic series to arrive onto this system. As the tradition of having something different in every single Mega Man game, this one is no different. You get introduced to Bass and Auto for new characters. There are also bolts and a shop to buy items that you may need.

Mega Perspective: Mega Man 6

The last Mega Man game made on the NES was none other than Mega Man 6. It's too bad I couldn't get this when it came out years ago. I never saw it anywhere in stores but I got it now and I thought it was pretty fun. It's really not a difficult game at all but that's just me on that.

Well, I look into it and I would recommend it if you are into Mega Man mostly. I don't know if non-Mega Man fans would really enjoy it so much but all I can say is maybe and maybe not.
