Coachella Fest 2012 featured Hologram Tupac
*clicks to see amazing new holographic tech demo, hears the "N" word several times*...........uhm.........I don't think it's a hologram
This is like what they do with Hatsune Miku at live concerts.
Oh that makes alot more sense. i didn't think we've gotten that advanced with holograms yet. Still looks cool tough. I had a feeling it was a screen.
That was some cool shit
Yeah, a biggie smalls hologram would have been better
This is great, but why would you demonstrate this tech with a tupac demo? Why not something more, I dunno', more important? Not trying to hate, but seriously?
Exactly but let's get the important stuff out the way first..........
This is a really good description of how the tech works. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5xhSvT71pk&feature=related They substituted a projector as the light source. There is another guy who used a portable dvd player in one of my more recent posts. It's more of an illusion/magic trick than high tech.
Was going to post the same thing. I didn't think it was done that well. It was kindof weird the way he slid around when his feet weren't moving toward the beginning. Guessing the screen was still swinging a bit when they set it up. Magicians have been using this for a long time to vanish and reappear. Setting it up with a 3d model and a projector is an interesting version. Oh cool, I found a guy on youtube that set one up on a small scale in 2010. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vTjwcfORCc&feature=fvwrel
man this is an awesome tech just imagine you can have Albert Einstein give a physics lecture or Walt Disney welcome you to Disney land the sky the limit or the copyright and ethical reasons of using a deceased persons image for profit.
If Natalie Cole can sing a duet with her father, Dogg and Dre can do a duet with Pac.
Honestly the craziest thing I've seen in a really long time, that was amazing!
This is way cool, but dear god, let the man be! Yes he's a rap god, but let him rest in gangster heaven!
I'm not alive!
Coachella was awesome. That is all.
You do know this kinda of tech has been around for quite a while, right? Like 30+ years. It's the pepper's ghost illusion technique, and it is not a hologram. This was probably done with the HD Musion Eyeliner projection system that rolled out like 4 or 5 years ago. There's a thin flat screen that's having the image projected on it
You're not the only one who wants to talk to sonic :3
