In this report from the TV news show "20/20", it's amazing to see that some of the same concerns people had with video games in 1988 are the same they have in 2012.
Thanks to Patrick Scott Patterson for the tip and video!

Hiya, I'm really glad I've found this info. Today bloggers publish just about gossips and web and this is actually frustrating. A good website with exciting content, that is|that's what I need. Thank you for keeping this web-site, I'll be visiting it. Do you do newsletters? Can not find it. male enhancement pills I truly appreciate this post. I have been looking all over for this! Thank goodness I found it on Bing. You've made my day! Thanks again!
I like the way the reporter talks about the games. He totally admits to being out of the loop and not knowing much about them or how they affect kids, but also admits that he likes to play them. He's a playful and honest guy. Whatever happened to reporters like that?
Wow, if those same kids went into my house then my house would be an absolute MESS.
I want to travel back in time and slap Jason for that outburst.
Mario and Zelda are great and all. But it's sad that a classic franchise like DragonQuest never really picked up speed here in the US.
LOL at the kid getting pushed down in the snow, did Barbara Walters ever look young?
Haha, well put!
Funny! The guy liking Nintendo after playing it and keeping it was my favorite part!
Interesting how so much as changed yet remained the same.
I agrren with you, games are a wonderful thing, as long as you can control your love for them :)
Don't they shoot ducks for sports? The guy at the end of the video is right, limit the time, especially for children, and there shouldn't be any harm in it.
God I remember getting my NES the year all I wanted was a Sega Genesis then that xmas I get a NES (cause it was 50 bucks at Ames, my dad was and still is a cheap bastard) an no other games other than SMB1/DH and a tv for my room that got taken away because I was staying up all night playing it then my mom and dad ended up doing the same cause they put it in their room
Props to John Stossel! Even back then he knew what was going on :P "They're animated characters, and I think you just have to pay just have to pay attention and limit the time, and it's fine!" Why people just can't use this amount of common sense...
The urge to go back in time to show Stossel and Walters gameplay footage of GTA and Manhunt is excruciating... "Here are our Sports and Adventure games from the Future!"
that was pretty cool.. more vids like this please
that moustache reporter guy sounds exactly like adam carolla
Doesn't the kid who played 2 hours a day (7:50) kinda look like Reggie?
hey I know Jason age 7!
