DLC is a fancy word for pay-for-these-patches
When Black & White came out i had it Pre-ordered. So i got my hands on Victini. In the terms of announced DLC, the assassn's creed 3 one i justifie completely as its not even going to start production untill after the game is out for awhile, plus the concept of Evil King Washington is awesome. But the preorder DlC.. i wont support.
This list is far too short to encompass all that is wrong with DLC. Essentially, it is just a micro-expansion pack that can only be obtained digitally. In my opinion, DLC is only useful for games that will try to be around forever. Otherwise, DLC just acts as a sort of life support so people will keep playing the game.
I say this with humility and restraint: DOWN WITH DLC!
True. However, I don't know anyone who buys the game early enough to get the Day 1 DLC Pokemon. I'm also not a fan of hacks.
I hate it when devs cut out in-game content, only to sell it as dlc. Or when they announce dlc for game that isn't even out yet(Metal Gear Rising, Assassin's Creed 3). I hate it even more when gamers give in to the bullshit, and then make up reasons to defend their decisions when they're only making the dlc abuse worse by paying the devs money for cheating the gamers.
You ever try trading with a friend or using a hack device?
You forgot about Pokemon. I only recently got my first (and probably only) downloadable Pokemon. It's unlikely that I'll ever get a Victini. :(
I love DLC
There are so many reasons to hate DLC. You haven't even begun to list it.
