so this article implies that we should love paying up to 60 bucks for a game that doesn't even has a complete story. it also implies that we should love not getting content if its only available for preorder and we didn't preorder(so we get punished). im sorry, but i just can't see how most entries in this list are good.
seeing this article and the comments show me that we will end up paying 60 bucks to buy demos that we will have to pay even for graphic options in games as DLC.
also fixing bugs is called patching not DLC and its free.
what did any of this have to do with magneto
DLC can be good at times but other times they suck so hard.
Rockstar's DLC is also well worth the price. (At least it was for GTA IV and RDR. Can't speak for LA Noire or Max Payne 3.) They add non-half-assed story and new mechanics that genuinely improve or refresh their game.
There's really only 2 companies I take DLC from. Valve, because it's usually free, it's also good but mainly free. Gearbox, (Specifically Borderlands) because they do DLC right. Expands (Not finishes, because it was already finished.) the story, more items, more characters, continued hilarious writing, more bosses, more guns. That's what most DLC should be, just more.
These are some pretty good reasons. Especially when bugs in a game need fixing.
DLC, as in an actual game expansion that's released AFTER the game? Yes.
Looking forward to the flipside of this list...
Half of these are patches, not DLCs!
I don't know how many cons there are, but I do know that they will over shadow the pros of this one.
Reasons we hate DLC. Overpriced and Sometimes already on disk and they make you pay to unlock. I'm looking at you Capcom. 0_0
Free DLC that adds stuff into a full game? YES!
On-Disc DLC which equates to a half-baked experience? NO!
