Everyone remembers Contra as being hard. But you know what? It isn't. Seriously, go back and play Contra. Beating it without continuing really isn't that difficult to do. Contra is what defines challenge on the NES. The more you play, the more you expect, the better you get, and then you win. Plus it was the first game that everybody knew the cheat code for.
