The 3DS eShop is primed to end 2012 on a high note

Earlier this week, Nintendo revealed a lot of news concerning future eShop releases and from the look of things, 3DS owners are going to have a nice variety of titles to choose from over the next few months.

The standard section of the eShop will be getting Cave Story publisher Nicalis’ NightSky on October 25, the sequel to the uber-popular puzzle game Pushmo dubbed Crashmo on November 22, and Fluidity: Spin Cycle on December 27.
Level-5 also opened up its Black Box recently, which revealed a trio of cool new games created by three of Japan’s most interesting game designers. Yoot Saito’s Aero Porter, Yasumi Matsuno’s RPG Crimson Shroud, and Suda 51’s “sci-fi epic” Liberation Maiden will be available on the eShop by the end of the year.
An action puzzler dubbed Tokyo Crash Mobs, which is said to be an “action-puzzle game where players must survive “three chaotic weeks” as they take on anyone and anything that gets in their way”, will make its way to the eShop early next year.
Of course there’s also the fact that Nintendo plans on launching digital copies of the following 3DS retail games via the Nintendo Network on October 18:
  • Super Mario 3D Land
  • The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D
  • Mario Kart 7
  • Star Fox 64 3D
Oh and as we discussed yesterday, there are also five other 3DS retail titles (like Professor Layton 5 and Paper Mario: Sticker Star) coming to the eShop over the next month, each of which will come with a download code for Donkey Kong: Original Edition for a limited time.
But don’t think all of the attention that’s being given to newer releases is a sign of Nintendo forgetting about the 3DS’ Virtual Console, as the “Big N” has also revealed the remaining games to launch on the service in 2012 and it’s a stellar list:
  • Mario Golf (Oct. 11)
  • Castlevania: The Adventure (Oct. 25)
  • Ninja Gaiden (Nov. 8)
  • Zelda II - The Adventure of Link (Nov. 22)
  • Wario Land II (Dec. 20)
  • Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (Dec. 27)
We can also expect to see the following demos released within the next few weeks:
  • Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d you steal our garbage?!!
  • Disney Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion
  • LEGO The Lord of the Rings
  • Moshi Monsters: Moshlings Theme Park
  • Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed
Whew. That’s a lot of games. See anything you like g1s?
