9 Reasons We HATE Metroid
While we have plenty of reasons to love Metroid the internet is fueled by senseless hate so we figure we'd hop on the hate train and throw out some reasons we're not so fond of this NES Classic. Make sure to look at all the reasons we LOVE the original Metroid here.
Take a look at each by going through the photo gallery below.

Hate Train....ALL ABOARD!!!
I think I thought of a 10th reason to hate this game. The lack of a map. I mean I guess you could say its the same as "We had no idea where to go", but to be fair, just because you have a map doesn't mean you can't still get lost. Still it would have been less stressful with an in game map. No I haven't played Zero Mission, yes I'm aware it has a map.
it's all tongue in check ;)
Good thing you didn't include other metroids in this, would need a whole new site to host the amount of pictures dedicated to other m.
The fact that you had no idea where to go wouldn't have bothered me at all if it had a map. Exploration is cool if you know where you've already been. That is why I like most consequent to the original Metroid games but not the original itself. It seems like I'm making a big deal out of this but it's important for me. I hate wasting my time searching while I know that if I had a map it would be easier to navigate. Unless I use an internet map. Then I can play it.
Why hop on the hate train, Screwattack? You guys are better than that!
Ah well...funny that the Metroids themselves didn't make this list. It's true they're not all that bad to deal with in the original, but MAN are they pesky as hell later on in the series. Definitely a love/hate there, though - such creative enemies...
Number 3 did always seem odd to me.
And people love to hate on people that hate. Even if it's something lighthearted like this. *cough* 9 Reasons we hate id Software *cough*. People overreacted way too much to that one. -___-
Like the rejections of a fine woman (read: cat) this list just makes me want it more.
of course it does!!
Solid reasons, but this game still kicks ass.
And to think I was the only one who didn't like the NES game.
Don't forget, Samus can shoot up but not down and can't crouch.
I remember the first time I got stuck in a pit with lava in it and couldn't jump out, and had to restart the game. Ugh.
It's stuff like this that prevents me from enjoying the game.
yeah, it's just light hearted. if there's one thing we've learned about the internet it's that people love hate.
This reminds me of some of the reasons I love Zero Mission.
Most of these are just minor setbacks or funny to read, but most of them are certainly true.
Happy to see that everyone understands this is a joke this time around. And this one is even funnier.
