Activision confirms new Call of Duty in 2012
During Activision 4th Quarter earnings call today they confirmed that a new Call of duty will be coming in 2012.
The news revealed Black Ops 2, Sledgehammer hiring for a new Call of Duty game, and Infinity Ward working on a next-gen Call of Duty. This all came as no surprise.
But really I have to say... What the hell? Can we go one damn year without a Call of Duty? It’s really sad to see how much they are milking the Call of Duty franchise. But hey if 10-12 year olds are going to buy your damn game every year, why not right? No details are known about the game at this time, but I bet $20 that it's Black Ops 2.
Any of you g1s have anything to say about this?

I have to say, Black Ops is the best CoD to this date. The first Modern Warfare was also pretty good, just not as good as Black Ops (Black Ops had a really good story actually, go figure). MW2 was complete shit and MW3 was very much on the meh side of life.

oh yes, Call of "I didn't even fucking see you and yet you killed me" 4 is so much better. Seriously though, I was mainly referring to singleplayer.

The only reason they have a new COD every year is because they have two different companies working on their own separate series. Technically if you pick a company you like better, then COD only comes out with another GOOD game every 2 years. What they need to do is have Treyarch make COD Zombies into it's own series with a campaign and multiplayer that's all about zombies only not have it bogged down with the human war aspect. Although Gun Game was hella fun in BLOPS just to knife people and hear the screams of pain as they called you a pussy for killing a guy using a machine gun with a KNIFE.

at least just start calling it by year (ex COD 2012) cuz Black ops 2 just really shows that they aren't even trying anymore (not that they ever were after World at War) not even with names, but still this series needs to go the way of old yeller or Guitar Hero

People are going to complain about no innovation, and will try to boycott it, but it will sell bangbucks nonetheless. God hopes not as much as CoDMW3.
