Adios, Asai...
With my busy schedule, ScrewAttack is becoming more and more of a non-option, so for now, I bid you all adieu. Thank you for all the good times. And don't worry. I'll be back sometime.
For those of you who did not know, I began as a freelance writer in 2010. I was not very good. But this community took a chance on me. They said "hey, this guy has some ideas. He has some style. Let's give him a chance. Let's guide him along the way." And the rest, as they say, is history.
Over the next two years, I did anything and everything on my end to help make this community a haven for people just like me. Through my interaction with the ScrewAttack community, content creation and community management eventually became my actual job. But all good things must come to an end.
By 12:01 AM Wednesday morning, all work from my end will officially be on hiatus. That means news coverage, email correspondence, editing, producing, moderating, content, and much of the professional advising from my end will all be put on hold. My schedule does not permit me to have the same stringent hours as others and...well, we all know that sites like ScrewAttack are essentially a time suck, if only an amazingly fun one.
I'd like to thank all of the people I've met along the way for making this possible. Your support, your positive feedback, your in-depth critiques, and your constant (and I mean constant) criticisms have made the experience all the more endearing to me. Without all of that, I wouldn't be anywhere near the writer, speaker, or general online personality that I am today.
Shameless plug alert! Despite ending my official work for the foreseeable future, my independent work will still continue, however, so please visit my Blip and YouTube accounts for more content, and follow me on Twitter for the latest and greatest in 140 characters or less. Also, I'll be working on getting my livestreams up and running, so check my Twitch account for that. End shameless plug.
Will I be back? Maybe. When will I be back? Who knows.
All I know for sure is that doing what I did for the past two and a half years has been wonderful. Thank you to everyone who has supported me all these years, and to those of you who follow me to my next position, thank you for your continued support.
I guess I'll stop prolonging this. For now, it's just...
See ya. ^_^
