Anarchy Reigns is still coming to the U.S. and Europe
SEGA's has made the decision to release Anarchy Reigns in the United States and Europe after countless delays. Fans were worried for awhile, but it's been confirmed that the four player online beat em' up is finally coming to us!
Anarchy Reigns was originally going to be coming out in the U.S. and Europe in a few weeks, but SEGA delayed the game for us back in April and the only release date kept on schedule was Japan's.
This worried fans because SEGA's had some financial trouble lately and it being very picky with their games, as of late. But fans demanded it, and SEGA listened! Platinum Studio's latest title Anarchy Reigns will be coming state side in early 2013 for the Xbox 360 and PS3! With the whole cast of MadWorld, Bayonetta, and a whole group of original characters this is gonna be another hit from the growing company known as Platinum Studios!
I think the same way.... WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!
exactly this is the problem
why is everything online those days :(
I can confirm that the game text is completely translated. There is even a press release from Platinum stating they finished all of the game and did localization in house as part of the production. The Japanese xbla demo of the game confirms that as well. The goal was a simultaneous world wide release, but Sega in some grand loss of their collective mind decided next month wasn't a good date for the game in the worldwide scene. Platinum Games has stated that they want as many first day players as possible and that the game is region free. They actually suggest importing.
You can select everything in English on the Japanese demo. The game is also being released on July 5th, 2012 in Japan, it says so on the Platinum Games website. What's left to work on, only SEGA and Platinum knows.
I'm well aware the game voice overs have been localized, the characters speak English in th TGS trailer, so that much is obvious. As for the in game text, I can't be so sure, but I'm sure there is more to be done, because this game has been pushed back countless times. We also don't know the marketing as of now and what SEGA's plans are. Let's just be grateful we're getting the game over here.
The game has already been localized for both markets during the design phase. The game in full and even the demo have full English and Japanese voiceover and text options for menus and subtitles.
Return of Look Pimipin Hell YEAH!!!
I knew that the Baron's not dead, Come on, he looks Pimp In!
Agreed, the only games of theirs I've played so faris Bayonetta and Vanquish and they are both awesome.
I'm not exactly sure why SEGA is waiting so long to release, it might have something to do with their release schedule. Jet Set Radio HD comes out this summer, All-Stars Racing Transformed and Colonial Marines are most likely gonna be thier holiday titles, and Sonic Adventure 2 HD is gonna be their main title in early fall. While I can understand why they'd wait due to their recent financial issues and the fact the game needs time for localization it's odd of them to push it back so far.
The soundtrack HAS to be ballin' to allow the game to be the successor to MadWorld! YAY!
And now, the mandatory commentary.
Kreese: "At least it's good to see that the SEGA executives have finally taken their heads out of their asses and made a decision." Howard: "How do you know that their heads are up their asses, anyway?" Kreese: "Who do you think shoved their heads up there?" Howard: "I thought it was a new form of sexual entertainment." Kreese: "How the hell could someone find that hot!?" Howard: "Here, I'll show you. Can you shove my head up my ass?" Kreese: "You are one sick puppy."
Unless they're doing this to fart out a WiiU port, there is no reason to make us wait that long for the game, damnit!
I want my chainsaw arm! ...but please come to Wii U or PC.
Why release a finished game in a couple weeks when you can release it in 9 months? Guess they'd rather compete with Tomb Raider and Bioshock than...nothing
Remember, the soundtrack is ballin'.
i wish platinum games gets more credit , they make great games and deserve a bit more of recognition
