Apple planning to announce the iPad 3
According to various press sites, it appears likely that Apple will be revealing information regarding a new entry in the iPad series of handheld devices. The evidence comes from a series of invitations that were sent out to multiple press companies. They showed pictures of what appeared to be part of an iPad without the home button being visible, but with a higher screen resolution. More importantly, the following message was included with the invitations:
Considering the picture and the fact that the latest version of the iPhone came out not too long ago, it looks like the future announcement will involve a new Apple iPad release. Some more obvious evidence for this comes from the fact that the invitations are regarding a technology conference. The event in question will be occurring in San Francisco on March 7 (which is next Wednesday).
While I am a proud owner of an iPod Touch, I have to wonder if Apple is releasing their technological products too quickly after one another. Two newer versions of the iPhone were released in the last year; various forms of the iPod exist with updated versions being released on a regular basis, and now a third iPad system? And these gadgets are pretty expensive to be buying on a regular basis. The iPad 2 currently costs about $500, and that's certainly not cheap.

I honestly don't care for their products in general. I have an Ipod touch because at this point there really isn't a good option for music player that isn't a phone. The only other product of theirs I liked was the little square shaped desktop computer. But, again, decided it was too expensive. I will accept that they put more quality materials in, but 2000 dollars for a laptop is definitely a markup for brand recognition.

iPad 3 is not too soon for all the haters lol. Its perfect timing. If they do release it soon after March 7th event then it'll be selling huge all year ensuring Apple another great calender year for Sales. By Christmas everyone will want them because of how amazing the new screen will be. Apple knows what they are doing and will be successful with this launch but I guess that goes without saying since this thing would sell like hotcakes regardless of launch strategy.
