Apple says NRA's gun simulator is not fit for four-year-olds
This past Monday, the NRA released a gun training simulator, NRA Practice Range, on Apple's App Store for the low cost of $0.00. It's a game designed to teach people proper gun usage and safety, and you can also spend $0.99 to unlock an AK-47. The game was designated as appropriate for ages four and up. The game was also released a month to the day after the Sandy Hook shooting.
New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg told CBS,
Apple has reassigned the game's rating as appropriate for ages twelve and up.
Do you g1s think the NRA was trying to prove a point with their game? Or was this just an ignorant move? Let us know in the comments!

Between this and the lack of direction for the ATF, which was orchestrated by the NRA, it's really disgusting how corrupt this organization has become.
I appreciate what it is supposed to represent, but it's become a gang of raving paranoia in the last several decades.

There's also a game where you get to shoot their CEO and another in the works that is about Sandy Hook. http://www.gamezone.com/news/one-gamer-developed-a-game-in-which-you-sho...
This crap is getting annoying now. Look, video games and guns did not kill those children (ok technically guns did kill them and Dance Dance is proven to cause insanity at least in my case), it was an individual that committed this tragedy.
People crack for some reason or another, and using their wisted logic, decide to cause misery for others. We need to learn culturally from these incident, not point fingers. I'm not a gun owner, however I respect the right to own one for what ever reason may be (except murder), but tighter gun laws would cut down on casualties.
In addition, video games are no longer a child's toy. Those children have grown up, and are now having children of their own. These games evolved into an artform of their own equal that of movies and literature, but we still need to be responsible parents and tell our kids that Halo is not about killing aliens but about one man protecting humanity.

This is one of the main reasons why I'm glad that there is no gun debate where I live, the guns are illegal in the UK and Ireland. Now, why is this better than the US? Because when we kill people, we use melee weapons, which is more personal.

So why does a CHILD need to know gun safety? And do we REALLY want to teach that safety through a video game? Yeah, if your child is going to hand a fire arm then you teach gun safety in person. And God help you if you teach a kid who isn't fit (mature enough) to even be shooting a gun when supervised.

Video games should NOT teach gun safety, period! I'd upvote you but this isn't YouTube

Do we teach 4-year-olds about the American Revolution? Because that's why we have a 2nd Amendment. It isn't for hunting or personal safety (benefits our founding fathers would not have even thought necessary to preserve in writing), though it's nice those have fallen under the umbrella of the 2nd Amendment. Instead, the point is for THE PEOPLE to be able to oppose TYRANNY in the government ... and if there's an app for that, I can't find it, anywhere. Instead, such talk makes everyone squirm in the seats like watching someone get nailed in the balls on YouTube ...

Hundreds of millions of people play video games everyday. 4 or 5 people decide to take a gun and kill people every year. Wherever the NRA drew that connection is beyond me.
