Battle Kid 2 demo is a FREE iPhone app

8/10/12 6:00pm

So recently BK2's demo got ported into an iPhone app.  I didn't make this and I unfortunately do not have a means to play this, but I'm just curious what others think.  I haven't ever tried playing a touch screen platformer before.

Remember, this is the demo and not the full game.  Therefore it's FREEEEEE.  :)

Great stuff I couldn't play it sideways since I already suck at the iphone games where the buttons cover the game.

I'm glad the game isn't coming to iOS. It should never leave the NES.

Huh. Yeah, it was fine when I posted it. I can't edit my post since it was featured either...

Oh, okay. Fair enough then. Just let one of the guys know and I'm sure they'll fix it for you.

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to Battle Kid 2. I still need to finish the first one. They're great (but very hard) games! That iPhone demo is so painful, though. My thumb blocks almost half the screen. It's still a great game, though. Thanks, Sivak!

Yeah. If the game was designed for this platform specifically, things would have been done differently. It was just a test. Supposedly, some people are pretty good with the touch screen controls and others have Bluetooth (I think that's what it was) controllers too.

I don't have any Bluetooth controllers that'd work, but yeah, I'm sure you would have made it much better if it was designed for iOS. I mean, touch screen controllers for platformers just don't work well, anyway. No worries - I'll be buying a copy for my NES once it's available. Ironically, it's slightly easier for me, because I have a PAL NES which slows the game down ever-so-slightly (and butchers the music. Thanks, Nintendo).

Downloaded it and as someone who has never played battle kid before, I really enjoyed it. The touch controls can be a pain though as others have stated.
