On a related note, it seems that ScrewAttack has decided to pussy out for no greater reason than bellyaching from a rabble of eunuchs.
In the end, I understand that Craig has to do what's best for his business and not risk alienating too many g1s, but it's still disappointing to see the crew back down over such a trifle.

Dude, attractiveness is entirely objective. Having a post that mocks people who are trying to have a bit of fun, cosplay, and/or earn an honest dollar isn't beneficial to anyone. If anything, it only prevents future cosplayers from being involved, because they don't want to be made fun of on a website that is supposed to be promoting a strong gaming community.

And no, female attractiveness is not entirely subjective, nor is it entirely objective. Men may be creatures of diverse appetites, but this does not imply the nonexistence of inherently desirable female traits that appeal to males in the aggregate. To make such a suggestion runs contrary to biology and evolutionary theory.
You should also recall that the entire purpose of a booth babe is to draw the (mostly male) expo attendees to their booth. In order to do that, the woman in question needs to be as attractive as possible. In order to ensure that she is as attractive as possible, you need some sort of reference or framework within which to gauge her relative beauty. In order to establish that reference or framework, you must observe variations in those secondary sex characteristics that innately entice most men on average. I shouldn't have to explain all this to you; an eight-year-old can understand it.
Some booth babes will be a hit. Others won't. That's how it works, and all your crying isn't going to change this fact.

My apologies for the objective/subjective mistake. But there's no need to be condescending, and I'm almost positive no one, myself included, was crying. The fact is, its rude to label a handful of people as "less than," especially at a gaming convention.
