Is Bethesda planning to make a Fallout TV series?

1/17/13 10:00am

Bethesda, the publisher/developer of the popular post-apocalyptic RPG-shooter series known as Fallout, recently registered a trademark under the franchise's name. The trademark is for "Entertainment services in the nature of an on-going television program set in a post-nuclear apocalyptic world."

To add more fuel to the fire, last week, voice actor of 2008's Fallout 3 radio personality Three Dog, said via Twitter that "There may be more of the dog coming!" In addition, Bethesda has reportedly been scouting locations in Boston, Massachusetts.

Could this be another tease? Could this possible TV show contain information of the long-awaited Fallout 4? Only time will tell. But what do you think g1s? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!

if you keep in mind had screenshots released on the internet moreso suggesting towards Results 4 being set there, I can't keep in mind if there was anything said about it from within resources, but they were screenshots from a activity title, not a display, all best serials

Still need to play New Vegas, but since 3 crashed my previous PS3, I'm extremely wary of it.

Played Skyrim fine though, so maybe I'm letting paranoia get the better of-what was that?

New Vegas runs better on PS3 than Fallout 3. But it is far from flawless.

I really don't think it's a good idea. Theme and atmosphere are absolutely vital to Fallout. Something that a television program could ruin. I saw Nuka Cola Break, and while it was very well shot and it looked very good, maintaining that Fallout atmosphere with memorable characters, it's self-referential humor and eagerness to appease fans really let it down. There's so much room in Fallout with possibilities up the bum. Things that we haven't tapped yet that I really want a video game to do. Not a television show.

I'd watch it, just because I'm a Fallout fanboy, but I really don't want it to mess with something that worked so well as a game.

Just imagine the witty Ghoul banter.

I'd rather they just partner up with the Nuka-Break guys.

It'd be good for everyone! They get extra funding and help for production, and Bethesda gets advertising!

They do great work already, I saw the first episode recently and shouted as loud as I could "HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS!?!"

I'm not so sure they are all related, the whole boston thing, if you recall had screenshots leaked online moreso hinting towards Fallout 4 being set there, I can't remember if there was anything said about it from inside sources, but they were screenshots from a game, not a show, the 3 dog thing, I have no idea, could be one way or the other, if there was a tv series, that'll be pretty darn cool in my opinion.
