BioWare and EA cleared of ME3 advertising kerfuffle

The Advertising Standards Authority in the UK has ruled that EA and BioWare are not guilty of false advertisement. The ASA feels that the various endings to Mass Effect 3 are "thematically quite different", despite the numerous claims levied against them. This is different news as compared to the BBB's unofficial position.

While the ASA understands that consumers are not thrilled with the final outcome, the choices and readiness rating have enough of an impact so as to not mislead the consumers. I suppose the best thing to come out of this was the charity drive, but the upcoming ending DLC has the potential to create an even larger kerfuffle. Yup, hence forth this will be referred to as “The Great Kerfuffle of 2012”
