BioWare employees reveal new Dragon Age III: Inquisition info
Attendees at yesterday’s BioWare panel during the Edmonton Comic and Entertainment Expo were the first to learn of some new details concerning Dragon Age III: Inquisition. Or perhaps I should say among the first, since producer Cameron Lee live tweeted all of the juicy deets to his 530 followers.
I haven't played the first two so I'll wait and see about this one...
I wonder which will be better, this or Final Fantasy 13-3. My money's on the latter
The fact that DA3 spent longer in preproduction than DA2 isn't saying much given infamously short (read nonexistent) IT'S preproduction was. Had they said it's preproduction was longer than Dragon Age Origins it would have been another matter entirely. THEN I might have been impressed.
That said preproduction time has little to do with a product being "rushed." It has more to do with the total time in actual production/development. Long preproduction doesn't mean shit if it has a shortened development cycle/deadline. In fact that will actually work AGAINST it as it will take away from production & post production time.
Although I suppose that hoping for people not to complain about things on the internet is like hoping for the Man in the Moon to come to Earth wielding a gun that shoots chainsaw wielding tigers and leading us to the promised land.
I have no issue with the games quality, I'm just tired of the screaming, raging bitchfits that seem to accompany every single major game that Bioware has out out recently.
Er, the pre-development stage of DA3 has been longer than the entire development of DA2. 'Rushed' isn't the word I'd use here.
I think controversial is a poor choice of words here, seeing as good controversy can drive sales. Let's say the executive and directive choices in their games' development has been less than complimentary to the overall quality of the games. A bit more wordy, but I feel it's more accurate. That said, I would like to see this game do well, and not purely by a sales outlook.
I really hope this game blows everyone out of the water. I'm getting tired of Bioware games being controversial.
Lets see... the writer, Drew Karpshyn, left and now the Founders have left... yeah Bioware is dead to me. I couldn't give a shit about another rushed DA game.
Awesome concept art. I'm really looking forward to playing as one of those folks sitting in the conference room looking at the projection on the wall.
I'm sorry but I just don't care anymore. I loved pretty much all bioware games for a long time. Then they released DA2. It was so awful. It was rushed, had poor characters, awful story, and no ending. The battle system was just crap. Then they released ME3. I loved ME1 and 2, but ME3 was just a 100% let down. They gutted exploration, contradicted story points from the previous games, and the ending was just the last straw. Then came TOR.. Yeah.. TOR... Anyway. Bioware was once great, I just don't care anymore.
It feels wrong to not have a little phlegm in a Bioware game.
DA 2 was a massive disappointment, so we'll see. Lowered expectations.
Reading these comments I'm glad I never played DA2. It would seem that it ruined the series for some people.
"one level in Dragon Age 3 is as big as all of Dragon Age 2's levels." so... extra small?
So there is already a minus regarding the whole one race thing. Getting lazier and lazier I see Bioware? I call BS on saying you will have more customization as well.
Saying that one level is as large as DA2 isn't saying much either, thanks for the vagueness mate.
Also, this seems like a rush job like Cricton below me has said.
Whoa. That was fast. Almost as if its being rushed out again.
