Black Ops 2 Makes $500 Million in 24 hours

Black Ops 2 tops the $500 million mark, makes Activision a lot of money.
Actvision has announced today that Call of Duty Black Ops 2 has made $500 Million within its first 24 hours of release. Activision CEO Bobby Kotick said that
"With first day sales of over half a billion dollars worldwide, we believe Call of Duty is the biggest entertainment launch of the year for the fourth year in a row, life-to-date sales for the Call of Duty franchise have exceeded worldwide theatrical box office receipts for Harry Potter and Star Wars, the two most successful movie franchises of all time."
Call of Duty's $500 Million in sales trump Halo 4's sales of $220 Million (though to be fair, Halo 4 is an Xbox exclusive as opposed to the multi platform Black Ops 2). The sales also outperformed Infinity Wards Modern Warfare 3 by about $100 Million. Activision has not officially revealed how many copies of the game have been sold.
