Bungie brings a recovering child a Halo helmet
A couple weeks ago a father asked for some help on Reddit. His son received a liver transplant two days prior and those two days were, as he put it, "bumpy." He asked Reddit for help contacting the Bungie Foundation for something to make his Halo-loving son, who wanted a too-expensive-to-afford replica assault rifle for Christmas, feel better.
Bungie responded all right... with a replica helmet.
That's Carter's helmet from Halo: Reach, by the way. A Bungie employee, Christine, brought him the helmet, some t-shirts, and a card signed by the staff. This made him feel a whole lot better, and his father says he was "absolutely shocked" when he got the helmet.
Kudos to Bungie for this!
(If any of you are worried about a five-year-old playing an M-rated game, his father says that he doesn't play the game like you or I would, he just sort of goofs around and that he likes the concept more than the game itself. He spends more time with his action figures than the games.)
