A & C Games is an amazing retro game shop
If you live in or around the Greater Toronto Area, and you love retro or vintage games, you should take a swing by A & C Games. Located at 706 Spadina Avenue, this shop carries every game and gaming console imaginable.
There are actually two sections of the store: A & C Games, which is where you can purchase games, consoles, and other merch. The other section is A & C World, in which you can play on any console of your choice, or partake in some Arcade action. They also are known for holding tournaments, and having guests like the Nostalgia Critic, and the AVGN.
I can dream, can't I?
tell me about it, we had a pretty cool one, that got broken into and pretty much everything stolen and even though they got it all back they never came back, that was a super sad day :(
trust me the game is much worse.
that's sadly a contradiction in terms.
This place looks awesome. I wish I lived in Canada. it reminds me of Gameattack.
There's a retro game shop in Winnipeg called PnP Games. They sell a bunch of retro stuff there. I bought my Dreamcast from them a few years ago. I want a true old-school gaming establishment, though. People that appreciate the history and aren't just trying to make a fast dollar out of it.
HOLY MOTHERFUCKIN' SHIT where's that store !!??!?
This store has a great selection, but is highly priced.
A few subway stops from my house, i've shopped here many times and continue to do so. Mostly for harder-to-find and rare games I can't find anywhere else. They're very expensive so it doesn't make sense to purchase more common retro stuff here. But for gems like Tomba 2, this is the spot. This is also one of MANY great retro stores in the downtown TO area.
Love that pic of a Chrono Trigger Instruction booklet (I keep mine in a ziplock bag :p). Looks like a ton of fun there
Looks more like a museum than a shop! Who ever owns this place has an incredible collection here. Awesome post man, these photos are great!
Wish I had a retro game store near me... they're hard to find nowadays.
also they sponser 3 killa bytes
I'll have to check it out next time I'm in Toronto
If I lived in the area that store is in, I would be in there everyday
It's so awesome Sean!!! It's also really close to my house!
LOL, I told you to go there a while ago since my friend Daniel works there & told me about it and all the stuff it had. I remember what you said in Shelby's stream about Doki Doki Panic & the photo you took. I'm glad you got a good retro gaming store in town. We used to have quite a few in NY but most/all of them closed down.
SO.....MUCH.....RETRO!!!! *starts hyperventilating* oh god, it's so beautiful, Kainin, if I ever go to Toronto, your showing me this place~
I want to go there.
I've been to that exact same A&C Games, it's awesome. Only one problem, some games are in bad condition but they're priced a bit unfairly, but oh well, a game's a game.
