Can the Miiverse be used to create user generated content? Maybe!

3/5/13 6:01pm

The creators of Toki Tori 2 - Two Tribes - has been having a lot of fun with the Wii U as of late. While it is true their indie game has been pushed back a few times, they are very pleased with the Wii U console but more importantly, what the console brings to the table:

"We want to make it super easy to share content with your friends or random people. We're looking into using MiiVerse for this, but haven't decided how this will be handled. We've been super busy getting the game to a finished state, so we'll worry about that later on."

A lot of indie developers have been commenting on how much they love the MiiVerse. Several have already stated that never before have they had such quick access to the fanbase for feedback, comments, and questions.

But if Two Tribes can crack the code to allow the MiiVerse to make custom-content for their games, this could open a pandora's box of awesomeness for future games.

"The combination of a Nintendo Audience, that we can reach through Miiverse and that can buy our games easily is perfect for us. I think this is what sets the console apart for me, more than any hardware feature could ever achieve."

Let's all see what comes of this!

Each game has a community on Miiverse and the developers act like the mods. It really is a great (probably unintended at first) feature from Nintendo. Couple that with free patching and easy to use e-store, and I think indie devs will flock to the platform in droves.

Not only that, my boy (8 years old) likes to get on there and just poke around. He always seems to find something that excites him in there. I'm sure other kids do too. From what I've seen it looks like a pretty cool thing and I've even had a few cool interactions myself.
