Capcom confirms JoJo's Bizarre Adventure HD for XBLA and PSN
Capcom is re-releasing JoJo's Bizarre Adventure for XBLA and PSN on August 21st for 1600 Microsoft Points or $19.99.
Editor's Note: Well, it looks like Xbox360Achievements was right ... again!
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is getting a HD update with perks (online features to be exact) similar to that of Super Street Fighter IV and Marvel vs. Capcom 3. As to what these supposed "perks" are, Capcom hasn't stated just yet. We can assume though there will be lobbies, match making, and possibly replays.
I myself have never played JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, but I've always been curious. I'm glad to see Capcom still supporting the fighting genre with all of these HD re-releases to show the newer generation just where the fighting game community began.
You can download JoJo's Bizarre Adventure HD on August 21st for 1600 MS Points/$19.99 on XBLA and PSN.
This is a fighter I would get, this and the new game coming out!
Craaaaaazy! *Hysterical high-pitched tone*
While that is true that getting the rights to it might make it more expensive, I feel that by giving it the high price point, they will be pushing away potential buyers and/or newcomers to the series (and in some cases, the fans).
However, my only concern as a gamer is that this will begin the trend of $20/1600 points becoming the norm on the price of digital games on XBLA and PSN similar to how $15/1200 points seemed expensive a few years ago, but now has became normal.
amazing! Never got to play this game but I have a feeling it will be worth downloading.
They just need to release a CPS-3 compilation on disc or download; their is only 6 games(3 not including updates).
$20 seems pretty steep for a game that was never that popular, i think i'll pass on this for now, gotta pay dem billz
Capcom is going to stream the game from SDCC in 15mins (12pm PST) at http://www.twitch.tv/capcomunity First time this is going to be shown!
I wouldn't miss it for ZA WARUDO!!
1600 MS points, no thank you.
You guys must not realize this but buying this game on disc usally runs you MORE than $20. Seems like a good deal to me!
That's what I thought at first too, but then I considered it must have been hell to get the rights to release this game. Especially considering Namco Bandai is the new holder of the franchise now.
This game was/still is awesome, but $20 is too much. Maybe it's because I'm used to HD remakes of fighters launching for $10 - $15.
I can see it already, stands as DLC.
Fighting games galore!
