Castlevania: Hymn of Blood - Live Action Webseries

A new fan made web series re-imagining a the Castlevania franchise has shown up on the internet. Check it out and see what you think.

The first installment of "Castlevania: Hymn of Blood" was aired today. The official Castlevania facebook page released these details along with a link to the episode:

"The fine people at Warp Factor 2 have begun a new series on START celebrating Castlevania! Here's episode one of 'Hymn of Blood', premiering a new episode each week, Tuesdays at 12PM (PST). Disclaimer: Hymn of Blood is a fan made series created to celebrate the Castlevania video game franchise. It is not affiliated with Konami and in no way represents our original work."

So far it's received a largely positive reception. Castlevania is my favorite video game franchise by a clear mile. I can't say I'm ecstatic about it - I don't think this first episode was amazing by any standard - but, typically, it's something I could see myself enjoying purely on the basis that it's a Castlevania fan series. It'll fill the void since the Dracula's Curse film was cancelled some time ago.
