Check out Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate exclusive to 3DS
The E3 Nintendo 3DS press conference showed off a number of new titles for the portable system, and right off the bat (after ten minutes of painful pseudo-comedy) Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate was announced.
Protagonist Trevor Belmont takes center stage against the villain, Gabriel, with classic 2D game play. Armed with his whip-like Combat Cross and boomerang sticks, Belmont takes on enemies in one-on-one combat with 3D camera movement. The game features lush colors throughout, with stylistic black and white cell-shaded cut scenes, as well as music based on the Lords of Shadow console game.
Mirror of Fate is developed by MercurySteam and will incorporate four playable characters including the half-vampire son of Dracula, Alucard. The 3DS exclusive is set to release Fall 2012.

God damn this is the dumbest concept. Seriously who thought of this diarrhea people call a plot? Oh right... Kojima... Never-mind it's brilliant obviously.
MadHero15
Um, Kojima has never worked on Castlevania (aside from his studio working with MercurySteam)
Also, may I ask what's wrong with this concept, a bunch of of the Belmonts (plus Alucard) fight Dracula in 2.5 D. Sounds like Castlevania (aside from the 2.5 D) to me, so what's wrong with it?
Kyurian
Because you're fighting a Belmont as Dracula. Spoilers! Lords of Shadow Gabriel Belmont turns into Dracula at the end and also starts the Belmont clan. The story is pants on head retarded. I mean outside of how good Lament of Innocents was, why did we need GoW with a pseudo coat of Castlevania paint thrown on it?
