Check out Splinter Cell: Blacklist Collector's Edition
Ubisoft recently revealed their collector's edition for the upcoming Splinter Cell: Blacklist, and it looks as though they're taking a page from Activison, as Splinter Cell's CE is set to include a "custom three-channel, dual motor plane modeled after the in-game mobile headquarters."
While the fully functional R/C plane highlights the $169.99 bundle, the Splinter Cell: Blacklist Paladin Multi-Mission Aircraft Edition also includes the 88-page "Splinter Cell: Echoes" graphic novel, the "Billionaire's Yacht" co-op map, the Upper Echelon pack which contains the "Dead Coast" co-op map, Gold Sonar Goggles and Upper Echelon suit in-game items, as well as a poster and of course the game.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist is slated for an August 20 release for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
So g1s, what do you think? Is this just another lame gimmick? Or have you've always wanted an R/C plane? Let us know in the comments below!

Eh, I like me some Splinter Cell merch, but I don't think I would throw any extra money just to get a toy plane. Especially after I saw the quadrotor in Black Ops II.

Between a plane and a figure, I'd take a figure.

I already have real RC planes. :P This thing is likely to suffer from the same lack of quality that the CODBLOPS2 drone did when SA unboxed it: Underpowered motors, too heavy, flimsy construction, faulty batteries, or any/all of the above. I wonder if they ever got that thing to work. Edit: After looking at the trailer for this collector's edition, the plane apparently only has 2 motors, not 4 as is shown in many of the pictures. I'll be very surprised if the thing flies at all..

Sounds pretty awesome, but I'm not one to spend $100+ for essentially one game.
