- Help support this abomination of man-kind at http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/343248998/cheetahmen-ii-the-lost-levels
I haven't seen this posted on ScrewAttack yet, but a new Kickstarter project has gone live, and is being supported by James Rolfe (AVGN), Pat (NES Punk), the Gamechasers, and best of all, the original publisher (you know, that ONE guy) and game programmer.
It costs US$60 to get a copy of the actual cart, which will have the "lost levels" patched, so that the game is actually playable from beginning to end. As usual, there are different reward levels, so check out the link below to support the return of this abomination of man-kind.

Why the fuck not? People are donating money so one guy can buy an island and name it "Equestria". You can waste money on stupid things, or you can waste money on impossible stupid things.
Has Pat changed his mind? If so then you may have something, may being the key word. As for the Game Chasers, they didn't need to, it's clear they worked on it and they've spread the word through their own means. Simply put they helped because they at least thought it was a good idea, you claim scam but other than "he has money retired because he has enough money" is a very vague dot connection at best. So unless you can definitively prove it is a scam only time will actually tell. Also you can't honestly expect me to believe Mike isn't just pulling classic pr control. I'll believe they think it's a scam when James says so with a video and not through proxy. After all there's no way they COULDN'T know what the whole thing was about.
No one is saying cheetamen 2 isn't a bad game. I don't claim to know what is going to fully happen with this if it gets fully funded, weather its just a fixed game or they do other stuff etc. I'm just pointing out a part of why someone would want this. Its a cheap way to fill out a nes collection for a game that goes for stupid high prices simply because of how rare it is. I'm just kinda facepalming at all the "it's a scam" comments so if my earlier comments seemed douchey that's why, overall this whole comments section just seems wtf worthy for the most part. Side note I don't see how someone paid to appear in an advertisement can rightfully call something a scam or not when all they did was appear for a few seconds and get a crapton of backlash for herd mentality going hurr durr.
But some of them don't even load. Or maybe it was just the copy the AVGN had that did that
Well, if you are a sadist, then maybe. Torturing them may be fun, but Action 52 is still a little too far.
Ok let me first clarify, that I never said that "warning other users of the Scam" is trolling. Plus on top of that I disagreed about them disabling the comments, but I suggested why they may have done so. And also you can't tell that TheArchfiend had some great execution to solve the problem, or never trolled or supported trolling by his fans. He had a great and serious topic but it was cluttered by great bias-ism and hate that it only makes more problems than solutions, which we need especially for the people who donated or thinking this is a legit donation! Listen "The Theory," in order to spread the word you must do it in a way that's approachable and civilized, not saying you didn't do so. Heck if you hadn't told us about this I would have never knew about this. My idea is to get on their recent video or even their comment board and just say that this is a scam and give a site that proves so, like a website that gives a bio on Greg Pabich proving he's a rich man so AVGN fan start thinking instead of showing a video who address an issue but with a poor manner of doing so. Also I wanted end it off here about this issue and that I will spread the word if they don't do so themselves (James, Mike, game chasers, heck even Greg). PS @ TCJJ Greg Pabich is a rich man, here's some slightly crude evidence but I'm pretty sure you can put the pieces together to see this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Action_52 This is KingN641994 signing out!
Guru Larry's comment is, as of right now the top comment in this vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7Jy21cs47E&feature=g-u-u
And there was no good reason to closing out the ratings and comments, the "trolling incidents" as you call them were people warning other users of the Scam, With Facts About Greg Pabich. I don't know in what kind of world you live in where reporting the Facts can ever be considered trolling, except if you don't approve of the truth.
Also there's is nothing that stops Pat or James to retire the video, since The Game Chasers never posted the damn scam in their channel. The both of them were paid to do this, at worst good people will have lost their money because of these scammers, and they'll learn to never trust James or Pat ever again...
Maybe my comment wasn't clear. I was following what you said about it costing the same as a new AAA title. I was adding how ridiculous it is that AFTER the kickstarter, when they have the money they 'apparently need,' they are then going to charge people an even higher price. And all they need to do is make a bit of plastic and ship it.
Wow thanks for the info and new perspective, can I see that link to that Guru Larry comment? Also I'm no lawyer, but if Greg doesn't return that money or use it for the supposed intent, could he be sued or put in trail for this scam or false advertizement. Also the motive of closing out the comments (could be from trolling incidents, thanks to TheArchfiend and his fan base, but still it wasn't viable enough to disable it) and not stating directly about the situation of this donation was kinda a dumb motive on their behalf. Now as for the video being pulled down as an option, that's going to be an issue do to the fact it's a co-lab, so he needs permission by everyone who was apart of it. Well at this point all we can do is just wait for the next few days (3 days max), and see if those involved will do something about it, and if they don't then spread the word, but with a logical sense to it rather than a rant and hate video or blog.
I totally agree. Or how about, why not make a totally new game a reboot. I mean if they fix all the glitches i still wouldn't play something that is just broken beyond belief and i'm talking about from a gameplay perspective.
Well lets be honest, even if all of the glitches are patched up, Cheetahmen II is still a pretty bad game that didn't have very much work done to it. I'd barely call it a game in general. Seems like a waste of money to go to all of that trouble just for a game that isn't very appealing to begin with.
Vince is supposed to be an advertiser, he's a pitcher for god's sake, so of course he's gonna take the pay to Advertise a product( and i'm pretty sure that pay was quite endowed), he's not gonna take that much heat from people, It was his job!
Now, I'm gonna take what Larry Bundy Jr. A.K.A "Guru Larry" said and copy paste it here:
"I'm highly suspicious as do you know how fucking hard it is to get to speak to James, let alone get him to agree to a cameo, it would have had to have gone through Matei as he polices all public emails and posts aimed at James.
Plus the guy running the kickstarter, he's a millionaire, he doesn't need a penny to get this off the ground.
Also, they'll never make an apology or response video, they never have. They couldn't give a fuck about the fans. Which is apparent by the fact he's been blocking people who believed in their endorsements and gave money. "
It's pretty much clear, that everyone involved has to give apologies to their fans. As for the now 29'000$ that has already been donated, well they can't be returned, they could surely not get the full funding and everyone will get reimbursed or since Greg Is a Millionaire, he could simply pump his own money at the last minute and swindle every single last cent from the suckers who got blinded by their fandom to James.
And since Pat, Mike And James Disabled Comments and Ratings from their Scam videos, no one can warn those poor poor sheep that this is a scam, like many people did a few days ago, and more money will go through this scam...
Yah the only sad thing is that people are just senselessly attacking James Rolfe, instead of discussing a way to bring back the money that is lost. I'm looking at you Youtuber "TheArchfiend" (I give him credit about addressing the problem, but I dislike his idea of making matters worse and completely being sidetracked away of the real issue of returning the money back to their original contributors)! Now I'm not saying that James is off the hook, like he should make an apology video for not doing his research about the cause and the publisher Greg Pabich. Now in the video description James and Mike state "James was asked to appear in this video advertisement because he had made a review about Cheetahmen. Any funds donated to this project do NOT go to James or Cinemassacre." It's fine to be in a advertizement or tell about this supposed trusted project, but I feel like it was kinda rushed and not much thought was going on about airing in it. This kinda leads me to another issue regarding with the TheArchfiend, James was on their just for as a appearance or actor to tell about it. Take for example the shamwow guy aka Vince Offer with the advertizement of the "Schticky," a reusable lint roller. Now for anyone who seen any reviews about the product or used it, you would know that it was just a waste of money, and it means in no way that this was Vince's fault for the product itself being a scam or a useless object. But Vince had some slight fault for doing that commercial (which I think he did a good job advertizing), with or without knowledge about the product being useless. Then again one could say he's just doing it for the pay check, but the bottom line to this long paragraph is that issue about the scam isn't so much with James Rolfe, but with Greg Pabich since he was the one with the kick starter and has control with that money. Lastly if anyone would like to correct me with any information, in an appropriate way, feel free to.
Think about it this way, If James, Pat and Game Chasers didn't put any spotlight, didn't corroborate into this kickstarter video, how much money do you think Greg Pabich would have gotten? I'd say right around maybe less than a thousand dollars. It is exactly because of these three that Greg has now 28'000$, he would have never gotten any of that without James' help. It's because James has exploited his huge fanbase, who does trust his word when he supports a projects.
And also to say that Mike for the past 4 days he didn't delete and block users comments to wich it ended with disabling the comment section and the rating, is absolutely ludicrous. So the Users must have Deleted their own comments, did they block themselves from James' channel too? This is completely ridiculous to think that Mike, who is well known to Be the manager of James' YouTube channel, didn't go out of his way to delete and block people left and right for these past few days. More so, do you know what were those comments he was censoring?
-Comments about how Greg was rich and had absolutely no need to have a kickstarter for his project when he could fund it by himself. It was backed with facts about his background in the game and movie industry(being the founder for Blockbuster, Hollywood video and many more) how he quit the industry in '99 for the reason that He Was Rich...
-Comments about how there is no need for a re-release because, there's already a fixed, because the game is bad (actually there's even a video explaining how James is wrong for supporting a game that he detested http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxKGVjA-VH4 ), because there are already other people selling reproductions for 30 dollars or less without the need of a kickstarter
It's not only James neither, There's was also Pat who furiously defended that project through and through when it was obvious that it was a scam, a money grab. Game Chasers on the other hand did not post this video on their channel or actively promoted that scam as enthusiastically as the the other corroborator. There is absolutely no way you can defend these actions done by these persons, unless you were a blind fanboy...
The guy said that he is putting his own money towards it, just that Kickstarter is there to add extra funds. He said that if the Kickstarter wasn't fully funded, he'd have full funds for it, still. It's not really a scam. Cartridges are expensive to produce, and if people want to support a crappy reissue, let them. I don't see how it's a con-job. If anyone wants to follow like sheep, that's up to them, and they should learn to make decisions for themselves.
Also, that guy is a way over-the-top, hating on Mike like that. He's NOT the only one involved, so it's hard for him to just turn around and change what's been done. He has no idea if Mike was the one who removed the comments, and look at it this way - if SGC was getting lots of hate, I bet you Craig would be doing something about those comments, because they're unnecessary.
Again, I don't CARE if it may seem like a cost that shouldn't be funded to some people. It's YOUR choice to donate. If you want a cheap, (somewhat) fixed version of Cheetahmen II, go ahead and back the project. Else, keep your money to yourself. I don't see how anyone was scammed. They were tricked into buying a shitty game? They KNOW the game is shitty. I'd buy a copy myself, except I can't afford it right now. I also can't afford to back SGC (not that I'm anywhere near America, but if I could afford to pay the $1m just to have ScrewAttack fly over here, then I sure as hell would, because I think it'd be money well-spent, no matter what people say), not because I don't think it's worth it but just because I can't afford to.
ummmm, no... James already admitted that this was a scam, so don't even bother supporting this,,:
Plus the original publisher is rich, he has helped launch Blockbuster, Hollywood Video and other businesses, he got so rich doing this that he retired from the industry in 1999 for that same reason, don't give into the scam...
wouldn't it make sense to make them play the unpatched version first? or a full year each week dedicated to one of the action 52 games
