Chris Pratt cast as Star-Lord in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy
Wow we've had a lot of news recently. Not only has the Injustice news been huge, but we also got a amazing news that the actor for Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy is Chris Pratt.
Chris recently played one of the heroic Navy Seals in Academy Award nominated movie Zero Dark Thirty. He was also 'Scott Hatteberg' in Moneyball and "has tackled comedy in the likes of Parks and Recreation, The Five-Year Engagement, and Movie 43."
For those who don't know about Star-lord:
Star-Lord (real name Peter Quill) leads a group of alien superheroes who team to protect the solar system from an evil alien race. The good guys are from the future, and another dimension.
Personally I am really glad about this choice. From what I've heard he's a great actor and he looks just like Star Lord, so i think he perfect for the role. But that's just my personal opinion, what do you g1s think?

He is very well suited for the role of star lord in the movie version.
But if you try to compare his looks to the 2008 guardians of the galaxy, he won't come close to looking like peter quill.
I can't wait to see my favourite comic book hero, Rocket Raccoon (sorry Deadpool I love you still).
I'm very glad they are giveing Rocket Raccoon a big spot light in UMVC3, I do fear that marvel may not keep the first rocket raccoon voice actor for the movie this time... Yeah marvel is quite dodgey when it comes to their franchises sometimes.
Oh by the way guys a new batch of guardians of the galaxy comics are coming soon all based on the movie and personaly I like the 2013 look very well.
I still recomend the 2008 series to :D

I have not hear anything about this and I see folks talking bout Rocket Racoon in the comments. Is this gonna be some CGI bullcrap for kids? If so, I have no interest.

I love how everyone's excited about Rocket Raccoon appearing in the movie, even though about 90% of his fan following found out about him through UMvC3.

AWESOME!!!! I cant wait to see who they cast as the voice of Rocket Raccoon. personally I think Jason Stathem would be a good choice to voice RR. as for Chris Pratt, I've only ever seen him in Five Year Engagement, and he was great.....so I have no issue with him playing Star Lord.

Don't know much about the series, but I just wanna see Rocket Raccoon; he's obviously the coolest badass in the bunch.
