tl;dr
What it says on the tin really just a collection of my video game art work for the Metroid series and how I got inspired into doing the work for it, If you want to see more of my art work here is the link to my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Liam-Harper-Artist/206091949465385?ref=hl

Hello. First of all thanks for clicking in and having a look at my blog. There was a period when I first started doing these blogs where I was taking some requests in order to see which games people found most popular when dong this on of the most common I kept getting asked to do art for was games from the Metroid series, a Nintendo game that I suppose needs very little introduction.

This however was rather difficult for me as I hadn't really had the opportunity play any any games from the series and any time I visited any retro games stores there wasn't any in stock but the guys behind the counter did all did reply to me with the reassuring... "we have a great collection of sports games" .... which I didn't think would make for a great blog so I resumed looking for  at least one game as I didn't feel like watching a lets play one.

I finally came to enlisting help from fellow G1 IamRizer who thankfully owns a game collection so big that half of his PS2 collection towers over me

(Scientific evidence of said towering collection)

So I asked him if I could borrow his Super Nintendo and the Metroid title for said console but unfortunately I caught him at a time where he was in fact playing the game himself, but...........

He did generously offer me the Game Cube title Metroid Prime, (and also loaned me the Alien Quadrilogy in short epic  Sci Fi horror and I recommend you watch them if you can) So I got to playing Metroid an all I can really say is the hype is worth it, FPS isn't really my thing but  for me I though it was pretty innovative.....so innovative I ended up playing it all night and then watching all four Alien movies which really puts your head in a weird place and gives you so pretty freaky crossover dreams that probably don't merit description at this time. :S

But that was the cliff-notes to my experiences with Metroid games and I applaud you if you read all of it but now I feel that since this is actually an art blog I should move on, so here it is my collection of Metroid art work.
