[Community Showcase] Digital Wii and 3DS games available on Club Nintendo
So, maybe some of you are like me and you have a Club Nintendo account. You're dripping in coins, because Nintendo won't release that dang SNES/ Super Famicom controller in North America( CURSE YOU JAPAN, UK REGIONS, AND AUSTRALIA!) . Well, with a new wave of Club Nintendo content, you can buy a few downloadable Wii or 3DS games with your coins... in what appears to only be North America at the moment.
Games as part of the new content are to be:
- Super Mario Kart (Wii Virtual Console, 100 Coins)
- Fluidity (WiiWare, 150 Coins)
- Mario vs Donkey Kong: Minis March Again (DSiWare, 150 Coins)
- 3D Classics: Xevious (3D Classics, 100 Coins)
Some other new content added is a 25th Zelda Anniversary 3 poster set, and some... notebooks? Well, one has a Boo on it apparently... I like Boos. And pen cases! Who doesn't need one of those?!
The site is down as of this writing, but when it goes back up, you should be able to start spending. I know I will. And here's hoping they add more games in the future. Like, 3DS Virtual Console games... lack of 3DS prepaid cards in Canada is killing me.
Also, it might be good of me to mention that Nintendo has started shipping the Gold and Platinum rewards for people who reached as such in 2011. If only to was that awesome controller...

They are the first regular games. Grill Off with Ultra Hand is exclusive (and kinda puny), and Doc Louis' Punchout was a Platinum Reward. And well, we've established how no one should get the G&W games (unless its the Ball replica).

Official Club Nintendo site now says "New rewards and games available for Coins coming soon. Please stay tuned!". Now, to find their definition of "soon"...

Man, if I had waited a little longer, I could of saved some of my actual cash when I got Xevious... oh well, at least they're actually doing this. It's hard to stay mad at you, Nintendo.

now call me crazy, but im going through a donkey kong phase so i really want those posters!....awesome posters or actual games. games that i could emulate, but thats not as enjoyable. hmm :\ i wish i didnt have to get all 3 of the posters D:

Club Nintendo outside of Japan sucks so hard. I wish I didn't spend all my coins on posters and shit; I would have been able to get nearly TWO Game & Watch handhelds from it if I hadn't.

I always figured that if I ever reached 2000+, I might sink some into the Ball replica. But after this, I'm thinking its not gonna happen anytime soon, heh.
Oh and avoid those two Game & Watch DS games like the plauge. You can get more Game & Watch games on eShop for $2 each. As opposed to spending 800 coins for carts that only have like, three games each.

wow people actually get the G&W DS games to play G&W games? I thought they were mere collector's trophies pieces. If you tell me people get the Ball replica to play Ball, I'm gonna shit my pants.

Yeah, I knew to ignore the carts. Sadly, I lost all the Game & Watch games I had downloaded because I had to trade in my DSi to even be able to afford a 3DS.
